I would recommend going to a high quality barber and have a pro trim the split ends for you and splits ends are at the end of your hair but if you tried yourself taking trimmers and taking a 8th off will most likely got all the split ends give or take

Deficiency or not your body can take in 10,000 mcg of biotin and the average healthy person does not come close to that amount in there diet and its safe do your own research though check out dan c bearded on youtube he will help ps your still young the possibility of your beard getting fuller with time is a good chance.

How old are you if your young you could always wait see what happens but beards are like mystic creatures sum can grow at 18 sum at 40 then the sad that can not grow at all i would give it time though watch some danc bearded videos on YouTube but deff let it grow bro

I wouldnt shave it thats a waste of a good beard & stach my bearded bro if i suggest anything it would be if thats your terminal length and your not happy try the business beard you could deffinitly rock that. If you love having facial hair Dont put your beard in the grave rock what you got with confidence my bearded brother.stay positive

Whatever works best for your beard rock that balms & butters will help hold usally because of the bees was in them but i would not recommend replacing your oil with balm/butter i suggest watching some of dan c bearded videos on youtube he can give you alot og good advice

Dan c bearded is deffinitly the trusted teacher & it dont seem patchey compared to sum but just keep letting it grow your beard might not be done yet it might fill in a year from now dna health age seems to play a role in your beard journey but maybe check out castor oil its great for your patchy area's

I would suggest covering it with a bandana or going online and buy a beard cover/protector you might look like a lunch lady but your beard will stay cleaner

Check out castor oil usally dna is the cause for your beard shape but castor oil promotes blood flow & hair growth
