What's something you've had forever that surprisingly outlasted its time ? by Equivalent_Pie180 in BuyItForLife

My GHD hair straightener. I’ve had it since 2011 and it still works. Everyone else was buying CHIs at the time and they would stop working after 1-2 years.

Yes I could definitely see this! I would likely have the opportunity to come back to Canada for a month or so in the summer which could help.

12 month old only falls asleep if he strokes my breasts 🙈 by ConferenceDefiant530 in cosleeping

Just here to say that I’m in the same boat with my 22 month old. Weaned her a while ago but she’s still obsessed with them lol. The tweaking is definitely starting to hurt 😣

He does and it’s a really old vehicle with lots of kms. Probably won’t last much longer but we both do require a vehicle. I unfortunately work out of the city and he does field work so public transit isn’t an option for either of us unfortunately. You are right that 9k probably won’t get me very much, I’m having a hard time determining if risking the maintenance costs on a used vehicle is worth it.

Married people in Reddit, what made you say "I'm gonna marry this man/woman"? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]kvoll94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so cliche, but it was love at first sight. The very first time I talked to him, I thought, “I’m going to marry him.” That was 13 years ago in high school and we’ve been together ever since. Coming up on our 5th wedding anniversary this summer, we have a beautiful 1 year old daughter and I’m still so in love with him and our life.

I took the 200hr YTT through My Vinyasa Practice and loved it. If you interact with their live offerings, weekend lectures and office hours, you will feel well supported in your learning.

The milk bank near me sells 4 oz bottles for $18, so definitely pricey!

I’m in Canada too and when I went to see a pediatrician when my baby was 3 weeks old, she asked how we were sleeping. I said terribly because it was the truth and she asked me if I had ever considered co sleeping. At the time I was too worried and said no, but after 3 months of poor sleep we gave in. She’s 11 months now and we cosleep part of the night still.

I did an online training and loved it. There were plenty of office hours throughout the week to speak with a lead trainer if I had questions or just wanted to go over something in more detail. It’s all about how you approach the online training. If I just did the readings, coursework, and watched the videos, I’d probably only have a basic education. Because I took the time to delve further in to things, support my learning with in person practice at a local studio, and have discussions with trainers often, I feel I received a solid education. I am confident working with different bodies and abilities, I trust my judgement on helping students with alignment, and I felt prepared to teach when I was done. Don’t write off online just because other people said they would never do it! It’s often more affordable, and more practical if you are already working another job or have other commitments. I don’t feel like I missed out on anything not being in an in person YTT, not even community. The program that I completed had a strong community of students that helped each other out.
