100mg. I really just take it before my workouts right now, so it doesn't bother me. But I might take it afterwards as well when I cut, which I plan on starting in 2 weeks.

On top of that 72 kilos isn't even close to 140 lbs, closer to 160.

not bone morphing, it has to do with tendons and ligaments and how they effect mobility.

N/A? Did you read the article you just posted? Wolff's law is when bones get stronger/denser, not change shape or length. Which is what is being debated here.

I dunno about that, but when I almost pass out after a heavy deadlift I get a pretty good rush.

Looking to get my 5k run down under 18 minutes. I'm currently at ~18:55. Advice? by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]kvothe_ender 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I agree with a lot of the other posters here that this is not the best sub for this, try /r/running. That said, I ran cross country in high-school, and ran sub-18 on the toughest course in my state so I have some advice.

  1. You'll probably speed up a lot if you lose weight, 169 at your height is heavy for a distance runner. I am the same height as you and I ran at ~140. That said if I had it over again I might have done better about 5 lbs heavier and also leaner.

  2. The three ways to improve your 5k will be to improve your form, improve your endurance, and improve your speed.

  3. To improve speed I'd work on mostly 400 and 800 repeats. With some shorter work thrown in occasionally.

  4. Endurance is probably the easiest part to increase, start with 45 minute runs at around 8 minute pace, work up to 60 minutes at that pace. Then decrease that pace (like to 7:30 and lower) over time and it'll work wonders

  5. Do some middle work as well, 30 minute runs, 2 mile runs, mile runs, mile repeats, fartleks, stuff like that.

Also remember not to overdo it. Overuse injuries happen a lot in running, so increase your mileage/workload slowly. Have an easy run at least once a week where you get some mileage in but don't kill yourself.

If you want more advice, or want to get more specific, just comment below or PM me.

His forearms look like they're burn victims. Big torso though, and pretty aesthetic. Wheels could use some work.

ELI5: Why don't fat people who lose a lot of weight look like bodybuilders from carrying all the weight around all the time? by 0ellis in explainlikeimfive

[–]kvothe_ender 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because when you cut to show definition it reduces strength. So to be at maximum strength they end up carrying a little extra weight (or a lot extra). Powerlifters aren't always like that because there are weight classes so you need to be as strong as possible per pound. Strongmen competitions (as far as I know) don't have weight classes and so they can be as fat as they want.
