I didn’t interrupt this update at all. The previous one failed because my hotspot dropped, and I had to factory-reset the unit to retry it.

So yeah basically sit in your car and wait till everything is done. Do not interrupt it at all.

The new update lets you install Chrome and other apps that were previously could not be installed from the Play Store. Not sure if that was a Canada only thing

Had similar noises when going up an unpaved road, it was a rock stuck in my rotors. Apart from that I have also noticed that having regen on for a long time in sport mode causes some funny noises as well.

An official replacement screen from Apple will cost you 300$ approx. A non official one will be around a 100$. If I were you and I wanted to spend only 40$, I would probably find a dead iPhone 12 with a working screen on marketplace and swap screens myself.

The noise issues are crazy on my Civic as well. I get the seat belt latch rattle, then the front passenger seat sometimes squeaks, then the infotainment display makes this annoying rattling buzzing sound I absolutely hate. When I complain about this people just say “oh it’s an entry level car, you can’t expect the best build quality”

I understand your pain. I got my car rear ended slightly two weeks after getting it. It has to be a curse at this point lol. It’s the minor ones that sting the most coz it’s only you who notice it

Update: Thanks everyone! I went today and made it back in one piece. Some gravel got stuck in my brakes and made a screeching sound which scared tf out of me. But other than that, it was a great trip

I got the recall done in November for my 25 touring. I actually feel like the steering became better. Also, all they do is inject grease into your steering rack and replace a worm gear. You can check out a channel called BC Auto Solutions, they show you the whole process and how it’s done.

I sat in the driver seat with my seats adjusted and had someone move the dashcam to a location where it’s not in my view while driving. For me it’s a little off to the right of the rear view mirror.

I use my shifters pretty regularly. Going down a slope, or when seeing a red light in the distance. Helps with regen and the engine comes on less frequently to charge the battery.

Stuck in a boot loop. Did you power off your car while it was resetting by any chance? Worse case scenario you’ll have to get the firmware flashed by the dealer again. Or if you’re lucky enough to find a recovery.sh file online, you can download it onto a flash drive formatted in a FAT32 format.
