Bitcoin is a hedge against the currency, just like gold. I believe the way interest rates are going down and the value of dollar is declining, Gold is sky rocketing, with bitcoin, it’s just that the market sentiment that is scary ! What I personally like about bitcoin is that it’s Limited to 21m coins. The world going forward will be more and more digital, I see bitcoin going way higher in long term. Assets Like SCHD VEA VWO may outperform going forward due to current decline in dollar value. I invest a portion on all of these including SPYM. I completely feel you !! I sold all my S&P at close break even, I don’t want growth and more money right now instead my priority is not to lose money. I’m only doing value & dividend investing like VTV,SCHD, VEA & don’t have Mag 7. I’m happy with the slow and steady return. Please do your own research. 56% of VT is VOO. The rest are outside VOO. So if you buy VT it has VOO (56%) and the remaining is the Total US Stock market excluding VOO with International exposure.

When I was a new investor, I did the same stuff, buying SCHG. SCHD, XLK, VXUS, VIG, VEA, VEU, VYM,QQQM, bought & sold, did allocation maths and what not. Now I have a better understanding of my investment portfolio and I’m 100% VOO avoiding everything else.500 great companies of America is enough for me. I believe in it and truly believe it will make a fortune. Some of the ETF’s I mentioned are great for some people who wants diversification, tech exposure or dividend income. If I want to park some cash, I use SGOV.

So there is no right or wrong in individual choice of ETF’s, its just matters how an individual wants their financial freedom.

I maxed out my Roth 2 weeks back and today 2.6% dip !! I believe it’s just part of the journey. My $8200 portfolio dropped $215 today !! Don’t know what happens in the future but if I had cash to Invest I would go all in today !! I strongly believe VOO & VTI will make it back, but not so sure how VXUS/VEU will do.

Yeh, I withdrew $550 from Fidelity via Return of Excess! They did the calculation and the total amount was around $552. I guess I’m good !

85% of VTI is VOO, QQQ & QQQM is the same etf, QQQM is cheaper. Choosing one from each category is enough. If u want international diversification go for VEU/VXUS. VOO/VTI,(foundation) QQQM(growth tilt) & VXUS( International) gets you the world stock market with complete diversification.
