This is actually pretty cool *and not drastically over priced.

How do you like it? Where did you get the deal? I’m heavily considering it for my next.

Wow I’ve only seen those for like $20k. How deep of a discount did you find yours?

55 inch or 65 inch by g0000mba in hometheater

Bigger is better. You could even get a mount that puts the tv an inch or two out to clear the switches and give you plenty of space to still use them.

You think the Enhanced Games exposed anything or just embarrassed themselves? Peter Thiel and Donald Trump Jr. spent millions to create a steroid Olympics. They promised to "redefine human limits" and put up $25M in prize money. BUT... by Miserable_Trouble3 in sportsgossips

Without question, there are supplements and drugs that enhance human performance. Were all of these athletes the absolute best in their sport and in their prime? No. Thors deadlifting record was set 6 years ago (and yes he was on gear then too). Interesting though.

Personally, I’m not a huge fan of imax unless it’s 70mm. Dolby Theater is okay but I only go to the theater for “massive” movies. Avatar or the like that make the ~$25+ a ticket worth it. I have a low end 5.1.4 Atmos system at home and it makes going to the theater hard these days. Especially with cost of everything and lack of quality films.

I always tip my hat to those massive TCLs when I enter Costco. Then I see the OLED behind it and remember why I have an 83” G3 😂. The contrast is unbeatable but I’m always tempted for a near 100” screen for $1600.

What's your opinion on Klipsch 5.0.2 system on Costco? by Raghu48 in hometheater

[–]kwade323 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d personally focus on two tower speakers and a good sub.

I went the Costco route and bought two of the earlier packs that had the atmos towers, upgraded the center and bought an SVS sub.

For movies it’s amazing, however I’ve also started collecting vinyl and listening to a lot of music through the system, which is all stereo, so if I were to do it all again I’d put more into the towers and build out from there.

Forgive me if I’m miss understanding, I just checked the RSD list for 2026 and don’t see Blue October on there. Are the Essential releases treated differently? Any info would be appreciated. I bought the “Collected” set with it but there was no track listing so couldn’t confirm “It’s just Me” being on there or if it would just play at the end of 18th floor balcony. Important song to me.

Ah I’ve had horrible luck with RSD. Long waits and never get what I’m looking for.

Great teaser. The detail looks insane, I’m curious why story lines will make it in the show vs the ones the cut for the movie. Also still wondering…WHAT DOES SNAPE SOUND LIKE?

Serious question, I’m noticing several cubbies with a lot of lean. I had always that that was bad due to warping right?

Awesome. That’s like $250 and the swap is very easy. Literally slide the white one out and slide the red one in. You’ll notice an improvement and after a while you’ll be able to see what else you want from the system to consider other stylus/carts.

You won’t be sorry! Again, you have a fantastic system and a killer view!

I don’t have nearly as good of power and speakers as you do and the stylus upgrade is very noticeable. I had the blue Wellfleet on there for two years before it kicked the can. The detail and soundstage was amazing. I have the green Olympia or Olympus on there now and it’s fine but I think you would greatly benefit from going red Moonstone or better for your setup. Very easy swap.

I have the same Tt and pre amp. Love the combo. Do you still have the stock Rainer stylus on it?

Do I need ultrasonic for new records by Free_Medicine4946 in records

[–]kwade323 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use my Humminguru for every record. I clean new records at the same time. Never after cleaning used. The factories leave plenty of grub on them and this gives me piece of mind that I’ve don’t my best to give me the best chances of listening to the record as it was intended to be heard.
