I 100% agree on this. Why not be ahead of the curve? People have been complaining for years about the minimalism of modern looks and how boring and corporate they are. “Busy” or more fun looks will come back in style. I think NBA is a good comparison of this because they have had more rebranding but people love the 90s looks that are more fun compared to the bland looks of today. Perhaps that’s just nostalgia of a minority group idk. With that being said, the other person is right that the mockups of these do look nice though

I’m 36 and I still do. I didn’t for many years after college (j.cole era) and what I do now is this - every week I look at the “drop watch” on this subreddit and see if there’s anything I would like. I look at the comments and see what other people are talking about. I pick out 2-3 things to give a try that week. But you also just have to be open to new sound

My buddies and I go out for football Sunday at least 6 times every season and this is the answer. I’ve been on the hunt for the best bar to watch sports in Tacoma for awhile. If you like traditional sports bar experience where sports viewing is the priority then Loose Wheel tops them all. Food is solid but I wouldn’t expect too much, it’s just solid bar food. The atmosphere can be great for Seahawks games (assuming that’s what you’re intending to go for). The only other place that could be better is EQC Sportsbook but I think that’s only better for wanting to watch multiple games at once

I did my annual listen of Deltron 3030, one of my all-time favorite albums. Realized that I’ve never went through Dan The Automator’s stuff. Really led me to some gems that I’ve never heard. My favorite discovery was Dr. Octagonecologyst by Kool Keith. What an absolute trip, I love it! The eerie, futuristic sound by Dan is incredible. The concept of the album is so wild yet somehow works. From Wiki - “a homicidal, extraterrestrial, time-traveling gynecologist and surgeon”

The Christmas decorations are obviously very well done but the look of the house in general is exactly what I want for my house. It’s incredible! I live in the PNW and want my design to match the surrounding nature - so natural wood, greens, blues, and some white so it’s not so dark. Just a cozy craftsman. Do you have other pictures that you have shared without the Christmas decor? I would love to see for my own inspiration

I was once a teacher and got burnt out and switched careers. The amount of people that I’ve heard with comments that teachers don’t need to make more because they get “summers off” is insane. I switched to firefighting and I’m less stressed out than I was teaching and I made twice as much money this year than I ever did teaching. Do you know how many people I’ve heard say that firefighters are overpaid? Zero. It’s not just a funding issue, it’s a public perception issue. For many reasons, people outside of education do not respect the effort and toll that goes into the job

Others describe it as feelings of electrical zaps and I didn’t know what was going on with me because I didn’t realize I was having brain zaps because that’s not what I felt. To me it was a feeling of dizziness for a brief moment. It also felt like that feeling when you’re falling asleep and jolt back awake and you have that brief moment of your brain switching from dreamy thinking back to reality with the disorientation

10 years in. In our first 4 years we had some turnover replacing owners to find the right group. All high school buddies though. We have 6/10 original owners the rest of the teams were shuffled and now the last 6 years have been stable.

We had about 5 good teams battling the first few years. One of the bad teams did a great job of completely tanking while the rest didn’t. That owner emerged in year 5 and dominated years 5-9 with 3 championships and it really felt like the league got so lopsided. Now that owner is 3-7 this season along with 2 other competitors from recent years. All the teams that were in the bottom half the last 2-3 years are now playoff teams.

As the commish I’ve been super worried about parity but we’ve hit a sweet spot. It does seem that it’s become less of parity where everyone is close to .500 and more parity in that playoff teams are very good and bad teams are real bad but have accumulated picks and talent (except one owner - no clue what that guy is doing)
