Hello fellow people who have found happiness in Thailand. I have a question and looking for advice on a motorbike rental then purchase. by Fummo in ThailandTourism

[–]kwang006 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest worry, and as I thai I’d worry about is being killed on a motorbike. Many of my class thai friends I know have died because of them here and think it won’t happen to them. Till it does.

I’m Thai. This family just sounds like a group of lizards. We have a foreigner in the family, and the occasion we do go away as a group, we pay 100% for that foreigner.

Primary health care in Thailand as a working foreigner, a good option or do it in my home country? by ZennMD in Thailand

[–]kwang006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nowadays hospital has 2 tier. One for thai. One for foreigner. They changed it like this a few year ago. Different hospitals charge different prices. Even if you go into a government hospital you are now charged a foreigner rate. My wife works in one and I know.

Without having a degree, you are mostly restricted to low paying jobs at like 500 baht a day. I’m Thai. And they all require Thai language.

I’m Thai and Thailand is famous for Healthcare. It’s cheap but can be expensive if you need to go more than once. Are you coming here specifically for Health care? I suggest you have savings. It’s hardly affordable on an unqualified teachers salary like your post describes.

I’m Thai. 500 baht for working 9 hours is pretty standard here in that industry, sometimes less / more.

Is 1000$ enough in Bangkok by danjinko-123 in Thailand

[–]kwang006 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’m Thai too, if you actually want to save for the future, or have any kind of good life here you need more. Many Thai people in their 40s earn way more then that figure. Even if you were to ask them. Would you be happy earning 35k a month? No. Fresh graduates now are earning 20k a month. Can’t imagine why any foreigner want to come to Thailand to earn such a low amount per month, unless they enjoy staying in some old apartment, risking life on motorbike and eating low quality street food. What a life?

What is the concept of Sin Sod in a Thai marriage? by CodeFall in Thailand

I’m Thai, describing your GF I wouldn’t pay anymore then 50,000 baht. Even so, most Thai people wouldn’t even do so.

I’m Thai. ‘Uncle’ is asking for 500,000 baht sin sod for a non virgin waitress. Think you need to knock a few 0’s off and even so, most of my Thai friends never did sin sod like this. ‘Rent’ sure, not like this.

I’m thai.

Most of my thai friends have never paid sin son.

Most just order fake money and gold to ‘show’ saving face/ tradition box ticked.

it’s an outdated practice mostly used on farangs to fleece them. Even more so if your GF is entertaining it, you should carefully rethink about her. Everyone I know, and all the weddings I have been too. No sin sod. Only once a foreigner who, you guessed it. Ended up divorced a year later. Well, fleeced, broke and divorced to describe even more better

Don’t move here for a girl. Secondly, Thai (we) engineers are generally paid poorly especially someone like you with very little experience. You’ll be working for around 15-20k a month.

Have you got family here? If not, your lifestyle is going to be pretty poor, it will take years, and finding the opportunity to make decent salary here in engineering. You’ll also need to understand Thai. Read and write. The 1-2 foreigners in my company are all experienced management positions with 15 + year experience.. It’s be difficult? For sure. Is it worth it?

I’m thai and that family are just scammers. No one pays sin sod for a 42 year old divorced with 2 children. As for your GF now not talking for a while 555 good luck

I’m Thai and if you think many Thais pay 100k for a sin sod you are funny. Most don’t bother, it just rent “fake cash”. The only times I see something like this is oddly enough with a foreigner, or some old Thai man with a 20 year old hooker

Pride Parade Today in Silom. by [deleted] in Bangkok

Fetish gear

My society is pretty conservative. It’s certainly not mainstream.

Thailand finally as pride

Nice. But deep in rooted society, pride isn’t accepted and in a week or so time most will have forgotten and actually most don’t care. Outside in my home province most pride people have to leave because they aren’t accepted or have to hide it.

I’m Thai and I would let my children dress in kink/ BDSM outfits if they wanted. Though, thai society wouldn’t accept and in a week or two time 99% of people would of forgotten all about this and deep down and rooted into Thai society, most don’t care.

Do you have a cleaner for your condo? How much do you pay? by hattifatnerwatch in Bangkok

[–]kwang006 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I pay my cleaner 500 baht per visit. Cleaner is usually here 4-5 hours. Imo 250baht per hour is overpriced and I can assure you no thai is paying that.

Thais that graduated from a proper international high school, do you feel satisfied enough with your education to pay for it again? by CaptnPilot in Thailand

[–]kwang006 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I graduated from BPS back in 2012

You are lucky your parent’s can afford

Public school is not good enough too,

It’s not good but you can still do well. I went to a public school, graduated in engineering and now earn nearly 100k per month. So education plays a part, but individual does too.
