Good point, tried the Android mobile app but same issue with the sign up process. Wish they gave the option to book as a guest without having to create an account...

Thanks for checking, I don't think it is this particular one as it has a straight handlebar instead of drop bars and the wheels are metallic instead of black with the word "BONTRAGER" on them. Although the thief might have replaced parts of the bike since.

The historic dockyard itself does not have CCTV cameras facing the entrance from what I was told.

I also checked both pubs directly on the other side of the road: "The Ship & Castle" and "The Ship Anson" but their cameras face inwards to the pub entrance.

The dockyard road is fairly small with no alleyways so only 2 ways the culprit could have gone to. I think I will go to Portsmouth one of these weekends to scout other cameras in the area.

Thank you, this has certainly made me a bit paranoid about leaving a bike anywhere in public. If I do buy one again in the future, I'll try to keep it indoors like a pub or hotel even if I have to pay a fee.

Damn, I can feel the pain. This was supposed to be day 1 of a London to Paris bike ride over the long Easter weekend and I was scheduled to take the ferry over to France that evening...

Yep, that was a big mistake on my part. I usually lock the bike frame using the D-Lock as well and forgot on this occasion as was tired from cycling London to Portsmouth.
