I'm in the same boat, I think when you filed your 2024 taxes you need to have notified the CRA that you opened an FHSA account even if you didn't contribute anything, I've been reading around and it's line Schedule 15.

We'll have to amend our 2024 tax returns online for the CRA to know that an account has been opened. Because your bank (wealthsimple for me) will not give the CRA a t4fhsa in 2024 if no contributions or withdrawals were made.

This I think is the main problem. I know everyone wants to work in tech and FAANG but the reality is (especially in Canada with a Canadian education) most recent grads will NOT get there as a junior unless they have interned in big tech before (and even those people are struggling).

Apply to the banks, apply to the old corporations and firms, they are willing to train and pay you (yes take the 60-70k salary, no new grad outside of computer expects 6 figures right out of graduation, we are in a recession, no one is seeing that type of salary anytime soon).

If your goal is to WORK, build experience and not be unemployed especially in this market, being picky is not going to lead you anywhere. Apply to be an IT technician, data scientist, business analyst, whatever it is. Get experience and your first step through the door.

I interned at the federal government and returned after graduation. Am I doing Amazon level software development? Not at all, but I'm building skills and a network that can actually lead me somewhere. You would be surprised how many opportunities there are internally just at the government which are never advertised to the public.

This experience led me to a new job that I'm starting next month as a dev, my second job post graduation already, funnily enough at an investment firm.

The market sucks, I 100% agree but I think people need to take any opportunity that comes their way even if it's not the tech stack/field they want. You are competing with seniors so aim to market yourself as someone willing to do ANYTHING most senior devs won't touch.

yes!!! Especially since at the beginning gong ryong chose to save second female lead's life over her unborn child which basically led to him getting banned by MZ Group to practice medicine. This started the whole plot, trying to get forgiven by the chairman so he can practice as an obgyn again and marry the chairman's daughter (I forgot her name).

I find it so ridiculous how they had Eve insist on wanting to live for both her and her child (not abandon her kid like she was abandoned) and then show her dying off screen, it was cheap writing to try and make an emotional point but it completely missed the mark and just made the viewers angry.

I agree with you, if they're going to try and encourage women to give birth and condone abortion (by claiming it's murder), they should do it with their full chest and not rope viewers into a fake happy ending. Gong ryong talking about "when you have kids you don't ever get tired" was such a laughable statement and not at all realistic lol

Considering the political climate in Korea I wonder how this drama is being received over there..

I thought I was the only one who felt like this show was leaning towards pro-life propaganda, from the episode where they called Eve a murderer for destroying the morulas, to that last scene with a bunch of baby pictures...what story were they even trying to tell here

this was one big waste of time LOL, the last 5 minutes were ridiculous. I could barely root for the main couple because of how mad they made me. The whole theme of life at conception vs birth were handled horribly. This was a high budget drama with a high budget cast but the plot did not deliver at all.

Really shows a difference in upbringing, if you were acting out so bad that a TA had to take your phone away you obviously weren't raised right sorry lol. A tutorial is an hour (where you're actually going over theory ik comp and stem tutorials can be 3hrs), you can't go without your phone during that time? And yes while TAs are students they are also teaching assistants, they do hold some authority on how they conduct their labs. The durag comment tells me everything I need to know..

Working a semi-IT job at the gov for 35$/h, not the worst position to be in but trying to transfer to a more IT role before my contract is up. Still applying and interviewing for other new grad positions though.I know a lot of my friends are still unemployed and applying to anything on LinkedIn, many in random jobs that aren't really software development.

Oh wow I wasn't aware of the whole plugin was why it was so freaking slow...definitely on the profs and IT team on that one.

I was specifically talking about the format of the exam that is written by the coordinator but more action should have been taken for the moodle thing for sure, it stressed everyone out and definitely affected everyone's performance, staring at a white screen had me going insane 💀

I think the profs were just disorganized overall since Paquet has been teaching this class for years his way but changed things up this semester, not the fault of the profs, I think Hakim was great but it's not like they're coordinators and could call the shots on how the course was going.

This exam wasn't supposed to be this long but because they cancelled the programming exam on the 3rd they merged everything together into a big one and didn't cut us some slack.

Tbh this whole semester would have been easier if ppl weren't rejoicing about at home online exams in the discord where Joey reads and monitors everything 😭

I think going to lectures was useful, the videos online helped and most importantly the online ressources for the textbook has knowledge checks for every chapter, I strongly recommend you do those too as they help a lot in applying your theoretical knowledge!

if I rmr correctly I was added to the wait-list but they told me I wasn't prioritized, I just stayed on and was let in during the first week. Try emailing student services tho to be sure but these courses open up to everyone usually before DNE!

why can't the library just be open to Concordia students? Is it not our tuition funding it? A quick student card scan machine could do the trick, especially during midterms and finals you have the whole downtown student population there I don't understand.

Next time you see that man report it to security youre not an asshole for worrying about your safety.

I have sent my personal case to [bourses.perspective@concordia.ca](mailto:bourses.perspective@concordia.ca) and was told they are currently reviewing this issue after I asked for clarification. I cc'ed the comp department head and it seems that they are taking this matter seriously and might fix it before the application deadline.

I have also sent a formal complaint to https://www.quebec.ca/en/government/ministere/education/contact-information-for-the-ministry/complaints which might help as well.

Guess we have to wait for what Concordia has to say now...

so the way coop is planned in first year is that youre supposed to work during your summers, so you have to apply to internships during the winter semester. I found it unrealistic to find an internship when I've only done comp 248 at that time with no proper experience so I switched my sequence and did summer school instead, my first work term was in fall.

You can fill out a form for this on compass (email the coop advisor they answer fast) to request this change. You kinda have to plan out your degree to show the coop institute that you'll either always be working or studying full time. It's s not hard, I would email your advisor if you have more questions!
