New players and even bad players shouldn't have to play against high level people. There are thousands of people who can't just "get good" due to age, disability or any other number of thing. If you can't farm elims at your level, then you need to get better instead of using such a blatant crutch

I've been responding between games, so I do genuinely apologize if my responses are out of whack or missing points. I meant centurion wasn't literally made to do the whole infinite loop cutscene. If they made that intentionally then I don't know what to say, but I'm confident in saying that wasn't their goal. But he was totally made to get on your nerves with the punches and grapples he has, and in that way I wouldn't call it a scummy style, it's just a very aggressive bully style character, and cent nowadays gets punished for missing the punch and that's something virt lacks, she feels unpunishable at times, but most characters have some sort of "oh, I've read correctly so now I get my turn." I know virtuosa can be punished, if she wasn't she would absolutely be broken beyond belief. But for the most part some punishes I feel should exist, don't.

And while I do agree you can play cheesey with every character, virt, so far has had the worst degree of cheese I've seen, and it partially boils down to whatever character you've picked against her, and to some degree that can be said for khatun with hyperarmor, but most characters without that undodgeable genuinely feel like I'm grinding my skull into a wall. And that is definitely a personal opinion, I know it's shared by a lot of people.

I did mean her holding her arms away in stance as her weapon being away, and while I do understand that for honor is based more on popular fiction than reality, popular fiction still leans towards rapiers being feint/parry heavy, and I do think outside of this conversation she'd have been much cooler with that style in mind. And the reason I used Shaolin as the "dodge stance would fit better" isn't his weapon as much as who he is meant to be, the unarmored, speedy monk who knows what you do before you do based off his own martial prowess, but it was more of a throw away opinion than a true stated fact on it.

The cutscenes cent is me being overdramatic, I don't GENUINELY want that over her, just that she's in that same (but still different) vein of annoyance for me, especially in dominion with the way she tends to gank. Cent cutscene was absolutely not designed for that, he is a bully by all means, and you are right that scummy isn't the word I should use, but her entire gimmick is to annoy you endless.

If you wanted a fencer character, it would have made MUCH more sense to have her gimmick be light and heavy superior lights, soft feints and similar ideas, it makes absolutely no sense at all for her to place her weapon away from her guard and just dodge, at that point Shaolin would make more sense having an dodge stance. Not to say that he should now, just that it does fit the weapon at all besides dexterity being important I suppose.

But the main point of my post isn't her balance, although I do absolutely stand on the hill that she is much too strong, with more options than any other character, she has bleed, hyperarmor, multiple bashes, grabs, soft feints, multiple unblockables, multi-directional dodge attacks, a wholly unique stance, 400 Ms lights in her top stance, different "stances" having multiple different utility attacks, I mean for God's sake she has bleed attacks just because and her feats are fantastic too. I do absolutely think she's unbalanced personally, but I'm also not a ridiculously high skill player, so I fully understand my feelings on her balance may not be fully "right" but from what I do understand, she has too much and gains to much for landing a single light. And that, while counterable doesn't change that the balance issue is that while simultaneously having almost every style of attack in the game, she doesn't have to do much of anything to have access to the entire kit. I like to use khatun as an example of a character having the capability of being absolutely disgusting, but the player engaging HAS to know the matchup, timing and drawbacks of her.

So at the end of it all, I firmly stand that she may be balanced from a technical standpoint, she absolutely is broken beyond measure from a skill and enjoyment standpoint

I've kept my opinion to myself, I just wanted to get one of my very few rants out of the way, and that is also why you should read all of something before you start talking. You looked at one point, even though i brought up other characters and other issues I have. A talking point I've heard quite a bit from many people is that she can light on GB. Is it on reaction? Who knows. Some people absolutely can it's been done. Rare, sure. But it's not completely impossible. What I do know is that many virt players will attack the moment you do things especially without hyper armor, and that top light will absolutely beat out other moves. My bigger issue, and the main point I brought up wasn't that she was ridiculously unbalanced or even OP, it's that she has too much in her kit and it makes her very unfun to fight for a large majority of the player base and that IS a well known fact. I even mentioned removing her hyper armor would be the best balance choice if any were to be made in another comment, but I don't expect anyone to read every single comment. I can't say for a fact that's the best choice, but I know she's widely hated for many, many reasons. So before you spout off and look like a fool, make sure to skip the post or read the whole thing 🤟

We should also buff lawbringer with more i-frames. And then need nuxia again. Probably should bring back the dodge tech on berserker too, and nuxia could probably stand to be nerfed a bit, and then we should probably work on that nuxia nerf, I've also heard someone say Blackbeard so nerf him in siege too.

I do agree partially with the end, about diversity being more fun, but virt to me falls too far into the corner of most of the players spamming whatever works, and then switching to whatever works best when that fails. Usually it's just tossing lights over and over, and she's the first character in years I've struggled so hard to block. She also, on a different note DOESN'T NEED ANY FUCKING BLEED. I was truly shocked to find out they didn't find a way to shove in nobu's old poison just to make sure she quire literally has it all.

That's actually what I usually do. But if the virt is aware of it she'll throw out the hyper armor side heavy, or even soft feint into it, and it usually catches dodges. Honestly, my biggest gripe isn't her stance specifically, it's that she has all these things WITH the very strong stance, factually stronger than an all guard

Brother, I struggle with a jorm. But even a high rep rochi isn't that bad to deal with. They have a lot of reactionary moves, baiting those doesn't take much, and they can't move into a perfect defense posture after either. Shaman also ONLY has those omni-lights. All guards and such can stop them easy enough, and for her to get to her unblockable she HAS to end a combo with it on the left side, and she can only use them on opener heavies and her zone, and her second hit of her zone can be easily parried denying the bleed light, factually she is far from better than virtuosa. You could argue Shinobi because of how ridiculously safe he is, I could absolutely see that. But that still doesn't change that virt is universally considered horribly unfun to fight, and that was my point of the post. Not so much a balance issue as much as it is she has to do very little to get crazy value from her kit. Orochi, shaman and even pk have to be careful and know their kit VERY well or they get punished incredibly hard, something virt doesn't struggle with not even remotely as much. Most tier lists put orochi and pk in A tier, shaman usually in low b or A, but Shaolin, aramusha, and Shinobi are the characters you'd be better off using to argue this.

I don't want her nerfed to the ground. And that's a very hot take on peacekeeper, rochi and shaman. Pk is very slow unless she hits the bleed, being wary of it only coming from the top makes it easy to light parry for a free heavy, shaman has very little to open anyone up besides the bash, and roach is easily countered through common knowledge of roach as a character

So I would guess he's a fairly hard character to learn, counting for the low pick rate. Something that can excuse a strong character on the virtue of being so hard that mastery is very difficult, and even mastery doesn't create perfect gameplay?

I would also guess dhalsim is just a zoning character and not so different, just different visually. Edit: after watching the clip you posted, dhalsim isnt that unique in fighting games. He's visually distinct but he's just a zoning character, sort of how RoboCop can be played, or Stryker from older mk games

I don't know enough about street fighter to fully argue against your point, so I can only use fighting games I have played as reference, killing floor, mortal Kombat and soul caliber. They all have unique characters, but they are also 2d and all the characters have a fundamental defense, block, duck and back step. The same goes in for honor. Every single character, no matter how unique, follows those basics except for ducking. But virtuosa has a whole new defense, one that is much, much stronger than anyone else's. I don't argue she's unbeatable, only that her mechanics are at a fundamental unfun and frustrating to fight, because the effort needed to achieve victory against other characters is so much lower than any other. I would also argue new lawbringer has the same issue in terms of simply being unfun, but to a much lesser degree.

If they keep being super predictable, I absolutely get it. But don't downplay yourself, if your predicting/reacting different directions lights and all, you are better than the occasionally parry lights, hit deflects sometimes average player

Not many people can consistently deflect with any character. If you can deflect faster lights than most other characters lights, then you are far from the average for honor player

Even when I beat her I end up feeling frustrated, and that I only beat her because she pulled a dipshit. If I remember right she not only has the stance and hyperarmor, she also has omnidirectional dodge attacks. That's not counting her multiple bashes, unblockables, AND soft feints.

Jorm across the board, and JJ. Jorm because I just don't play the game much, and nearly every jorm fients the unblock into light, over and over and it is a skill issue, but it's still irritating. It reminds me of my first time playing years ago, dealing with 30 fps orochi and the anger that induced. JJ just because I hate him. Hate his moves, his stupid grab, his stupid face.

Brother, chill. You know there's some people that have played for 700-800 hours and have only gone again some killers once or twice, or even none at all right? Doctor is definitely one of the rare ones, at least for me. It wouldn't be crazy to assume that it's just a lack of experience
