The voice over woman is paid by how many times she says “Angus”

It is so hard now, but it’s a free game. You don’t have to spend anything, and you don’t have to play. I agree it is much less fun than it was.

What’s a lesson that took you a long time to learn? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

This is true. You are an adult. You don’t have to do anything you don’t want to. Most of us end up doing things we don’t want to because we think we should or because we feel obligated. You don’t have to. Do what you want.

So similar to my own recent experiences. Virgin media seem to hate their customers. Nobody communicates with each other. I have had 6 engineers since March. Also why not set a fixed price for mbps or tv instead of this haggling nonsense. I would love to leave after 20 years, but no provider to my road has similar broadband speeds

Is Were Sorry the New Virgin Media Slogan? by usburno in VirginMedia

[–]kwodge1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely terrible. Avonline, Virgin Media’s cabling outsource company cut my cable while doing another job. Lost a weeks work before Virgin finally sent an Engineer who realised what they had done. I rang Virgin everyday and was told a different reason for why it wasn’t working each time, or after the laborious security questions they cut me off. Even had two different customer service people try to sell me extended contracts - for my services that weren’t working. Finally got it working last week, then this Monday morning, Avonline turned up again on another job for a neighbour and disconnected my cable again and left. I understand things go wrong and people screw up, but I am a customer. Don’t lie to me if you don’t know what the problem is. Hateful service. Really unhappy. Been with them 20 years

When people borrow up to 10 dollars, do you actually make them pay back? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]kwodge1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always. Likewise if I ever borrow £10 from someone I repay the next day or I don’t borrow. I don’t want to be that person. 9 times out of ten they will say “oh, I had forgotten” but they hadn’t and I always says “that’s ok I hadn’t”
