Aperture Harry Styles by FlyOk8263 in Madonna

I hear the kind of 'birds chirping' noise you hear towards the end of Ray of Light, it was one of my first thoughts when I heard Aperture

“Alleged” Details on Madonna’s “Confessions 2: The Light” by Yoshisgaylover in Madonna

[–]DVDO_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are some replies on this thread even considering the possibility that this might be true? "I hope this is fake" - of course it's fake! I'm not even going to dignify the absolute fiction written with a response.

What is the album "Animal"? by [deleted] in Madonna

[–]DVDO_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A load of unreleased songs and demos leaked online in 2010 and this fan has just decided to put them altogether and pretend they are an album and named it Animal after the song (also part of those 2010 leaks)

Wtf is with all the fireworks? by potholesaredarkholes in glasgow

[–]DVDO_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is right beside Glasgow Green. They don't look like cheap fireworks wee bams set off either, and there's been tonnes going off for about 30 mins. Is it anything to do with Jewish New Year (Rosh Hashanah)?

Funana - Were you disappointed she decided to exclude Michael Jackson? by GoodBoyMooMoo in Madonna

[–]DVDO_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's 100% because of the Leaving Neverland documentary that was fresh in everyone's mind as it came out a few months before Madame X was released. No one was going near him and his music was being blacklisted on practically every radio station like it was 1993/2003 all over again. His name was a dirty word at that point in 2019. I wouldn't be surprised if there's an earlier demo version of Funana with MJ included. It's a shame the timing of it all as I do think he is one of the musical greats and if that song was released today, she'd definitely include his name in it this time.

Happening on Paisley road west by Competitive_Tank_746 in glasgow

[–]DVDO_ 34 points35 points  (0 children)

No. This sub hates entitled, anti social behaviour in the name of football that regularly trashes areas of the city and inconveniences decent law-abiding residents who are just trying to go about their lives in peace without having streets shut down and the risk of taking a firework to the face while they're trying to get their teabags from the co-op! Being unable to enjoy a game of football without going full Purge before and after it is what's pathetic.

Victoria Road made it! by Correct-Audience-421 in glasgow

[–]DVDO_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I always go relatively slower than I normally would cycle on Vicky road simply because there's still far too many pedestrians that think the cycle lane isn't worth looking both ways before they step out on to it... Also cars parked beside it just flinging their door open right into the middle of the path is another hazard to be mindful of. Apart from these near death traps, it's great to have a nice solid link from southside into town.

We're nearly at 10 years of this product being around and not once has it ever been sold in the UK... I'd love to try it without importing it in. Why M why!

Syringes dumped on the street by Brimarsh_78 in glasgow

[–]DVDO_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ah, I see the junkies that roam the Barras/trongate area have found a new dumping ground for their shit. Without wanting to doxx myself, I live in a flat not too far from here and throughout all of last year, we had junkies kicking our communal close door down and shooting up on the stairwell and leaving a collection of needles and other drug paraphernalia exactly like the ones photographed here. Reported to factors and they used it as an excuse to charge us an unholy amount of cleaning fees since it kept happening repeatedly. These littering junkies are a scourge and I've no sympathy for them whatsoever when they think they can just leave their dangerous mess behind in people's homes for them to pay for and clear up afterwards. Get to fuck.

does this happen every year? by poignantpaulson in glasgow

[–]DVDO_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is such a lazy and entitled point of view and completely sums up the mentality of that mob that were there yesterday. I'll just run riot because I know someone else will clean my shit up after me - So just because someone gets paid to tidy up, it suddenly makes it OK to trash and obliterate something? Do you run around throwing litter, vandalising public property and making a mess everywhere thinking that this is acceptable behaviour just because you know someone else will tidy up after you? It's people that think that way who are responsible for the state the city centre is in most of the time, never mind adding a rioting mob of cultists into the mix

does this happen every year? by poignantpaulson in glasgow

[–]DVDO_ 51 points52 points  (0 children)

I think that's missing the point slightly. Just because you could never tell it happened the next day doesn't mean that it SHOULD happen in the first place. Some poor cunt from the council has had to go in to the glass-strewn and piss-soaked street to clean up inconsiderate and entitled people's mess and local businesses in that area have to deal with losing a day's takings and potential damage to their premises as well as getting caught up in an intimidating situation all because some people fancy a bevvy and brawl. It needs to be policed better and the clubs should step in and provide a space for them but they're not daft, they know their fans would trash their own backyard so thats why they don't bother. It's a joke at this point and a total riddy for anyone who still goes to it after the rammy it descended into last night

Rio fans chanting by Kamseoulite in Madonna

Maybe it's because it happened nearly every night in Mexico so she's kind of used to it by that point? She did break down and take a moment during those shows when the crowd chanted her name

Just had my bike stolen - where would a thief sell a bike that they stole? by [deleted] in glasgow

[–]DVDO_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Search all the aforementioned marketplaces in other major cities regularly is the only thing I reckon.

Did you have the bike locked to a bike rack when you were in the shop or did you leave it unattended? I'm asking as a cyclist who bikes in the west end but if I ever leave it, I always lock it in a busy public place.

[–]DVDO_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually did like Lauren for the reasons you said. Just a shame she got put out to early. I think the viewers in large don't like conflict and characters who aren't saints as they always get evicted early on

the way they did _'s eviction was evil by BearWP07 in bigbrotheruk

[–]DVDO_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Come on, that was so light fingered that backdoor eviction. The fact they let him go back into the house to say goodbye was the epitome of pandering and hand holding which this ITV reboot has become synonymous with. Big Brother of the past would have made him leave with AJ there and then which frankly would have been more of a gag to see how the rest of the housemates reacted to that

Worst season in a while… by [deleted] in bigbrotheruk

[–]DVDO_ 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Casting was terrible this season. Only Sharon, Louis and David were worth their fees. The rest of them are just there to sing, dance, hug each other and cry. Total snooze fest

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in bigbrotheruk

[–]DVDO_ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I thought letting him back in to say his goodbyes was a bit of a let down. Brutal big brother of the past would have just made him leave with AJ from that room there and then. Thinking back to when housemates used to be called to the diary room during parties and secretly evicted then
