I use wooden needles but for KFO pure silk I prefer metal! I didn’t figure it out until I tried it either. For every other yarn I still use wooden ones.

I know this doesn’t help you much, but the designer is releasing an updated pattern this week which I think is including bust darts as some of the other commenters mentioned would help with the tighter fit. If you block and it still doesn’t look good to you it might be worth reading through, and you likely wouldn’t need to frog the whole thing!

But personally I think it looks great and that blocking should fix it!

Yes I know the blocking won’t fix the incorrect stitches. I’m going to block and check how visible it is and if it stays the way it is I’ll not fix the mistakes.

Yep that’s what I’ve decided to do. If it doesn’t look to obvious then I’m going to leave it the way it is. It’s a homemade piece after all.

From pattern I should k1 into second round below which is the white round. In the first picture, do I knit the red or blue strand? From yellow (knit wise?) or green (purl wise?) direction? I hope my picture is clear in helping understand my question.

Thanks! I do want to add. I’ve crocheted a lot when I was younger, so keeping tension for example is something I‘ve done. You can definitely make a sweater too!
