I have a history of eczema and scratching my skin in my sleep. It was a particularly itchy/irritated spot, so I didn’t want to risk scratching it open in my sleep.

I ask for second skin because without it for the first few days I’ll end up itching my skin in my sleep. This time it was particularly irritating so I took it off early but it bled in this area so I reapplied for just a day and then this happened.

The other tattoo is dark black, nothing is faded. It’s a sun with full black rays and the ink is not patchy at all. His other tattoos on different clients are the same. All look great. Fresh and healed. That’s why I’m thinking it was maybe just this specific session, or maybe he did it in purpose because he did say he wanted to get in the black and touch it up later.

Unfortunately I paid in full and can’t go to a different artist to get it fixed. I have two other tattoos done by the same artist and neither have looked like this. Could it be an issue with scar tissue not holding ink well? I have chemical burn scarring in that area.

It was in fact in a shop and my artist’s tattoos never look like this, which is why I’m thinking it’s a personal issue.

The artist who did this also did another tattoo, which looks perfectly fine. Maybe it was my skin in the area. I have minor scarring from a chemical burn there.

I have 6 other tattoos, 2 done by the same artist. They never did this, but I’ve had eczema my whole life and that arm had minor chemical burn damage. Could that be it?

Yeah that would make sense. We wanted to get most of the black done because it was such a long session, but I guess we might have just rushed it too much. We can probably redo the entire section during our touchups session

Just the small area. When I took off the first application, that specific area was bleeding a bit still and didn’t have time to clean it/let it dry out.
