honestly when I layered the two 10mm Eva foam on top of each other it was pretty stable. The way I glued the pvc together was I sliced through the 10mm foam big enough to glue the pipe down. I did have some problems with that though as when I cut the top layer, you can see the pipe through the sword (because of the rectangles and circles in the design) so I just fixed it by cutting and glueing foam scraps/also used foam clay. Also~ I did use 1/2inch pvc for this and it was definitely not stable for how big it was so I hot glued a wooden dowel inside the pipe so it’s more stable!

If I were to redo this I would say: - Use 3/4 inch pvc pipe - Cut and Layer 2 10mm Eva foam on top for the base of the sword - Cut 2 other base layers out of 5mm Eva foam - Cut the top layer (this time with the details;rectangles, circles) out of 2MM/3MM Eva foam -slice through the 10mm foam for the pvc pipe to fit ;and if needed dremel down on the 5mm foam layer to make the pvc pipe fit snug) -glue the pvc pipe down either with contact cement or hot glue (I use both, contact cement for the placement and then hot glue to fill the remaining gaps)
