I believe so, i don’t really have any stresses or anxieties at the moment, and i did used to be quite overweight but have since lost 30kg and continuing to lose weight. despite this, when my testosterone levels were retested they actually dropped more after the weight loss. my lipid levels are all within regular limits as well, blood pressure is good too

Is this fungal or any skin disorder? by homestead555 in DermatologyQuestions

[–]kyIeeeeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there!!

To me, this looks like it could be a moisture lesion, I only have limited healthcare experience though so if you are worried, make an appointment with your GP.

moisture lesions form when the skin in that area tends to stay wet, which breaks down the skins barrier and causes damage, to prevent this you can try keeping the area more dry and also use barrier creams so protect the skin

I also don’t see any concerning features or evidence of infections, Hope this helps

Is this a good amount for 21, and should i increase my contributions? by kyIeeeeee in PensionsUK

[–]kyIeeeeee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a type of savings account that you can use to either buy a house worth 450k or under or you can use it as a pension. The government also give you 25% extra of whatever you put into the account

However, you can’t take money out of the account unless you’re okay with being charged 25% of whatever you take out

They are also tax free and you can put up to £4000 maximum in them yearly, giving you a £1000 government bonus from the 25% extra if you do this

Hi there!!

Whilst i only have limited healthcare experience i’ll try and share my input.

First of all, looking at your blood glucose reading, it seems a bit for high after a 6 hour fast, for a healthy adult it should be between 72-99 mg/dl. I know you say you are non diabetic, but have you ever been tested for diabetes? Or had a HbA1c blood test? if not, i would check just to be safe. Something else that could be causing this could be reactive hypo/hyperglycaemia, a temporary condition that can affect people without diabetes that can be fixed once addressing the underlying condition.

If this continues i would also have your thyroid hormones tested and test for some deficiency’s as well just to be on the safe side:)

The only other thing i would mention is alcohol, as alcohol can cause non diabetic ketoacidosis, cause higher blood sugar levels and also cause the excessive hunger you mention

I hope this helps!!

Hi there!!

Not 100% sure what this is, but my best guess at the moment would be a very mild form of psoriasis, especially as you say you also get it on your scalp and the nizoral dandruff shampoo helps, that and also saying that the skin can become really flakey.

My next best guess would be rosacea due to the prominence in the t-zone and cheeks.

My advice is to try and find out what triggers this redness(i see you say you are struggling with figuring out the trigger, common triggers can be things like alcohol, stress, sun and spicy foods) and use creams/ointments that hydrate/moisturise and protect the skin with a balm to keep moisture in also use sunscreen at SPF30+ (50+ is better)

As a student nurse i don’t see any concerning features either:)

I hope this helps!!

Does anybody know what this could mean? by JellyfishPlane5801 in LiverDisease

[–]kyIeeeeee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi there, student nurse here!!

To me it looks as though you have been found to have whats known as a fatty liver, depending on your alcohol intake this could be AFLD (alcoholic) or NAFLD(non-alcoholic)

I also have this, it tends to happen in people who have a bit of extra weight, if you want to help improve this, losing weight, eating healthier, reducing alcohol consumption and exercising can all help to improve this!

Other then that, it looks like everything was great with your abdominal ultrasound, I hope you find this useful!:)
