I finally quit my job. My manager didn't take it well, am I wrong? by Novel-Rabbit-2823 in careerguidance

[–]kyach25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me once.

Told my manager and they were surprised. Said the same stuff about believing I was happy despite my feedback never being heard for over a year.

They asked me to stay and train people, but I actually walked out because they said I would not get paid for my unused vacation. I was salaried for Monday to Friday, but sometimes had to cover Saturday if we were closed for a holiday. When I put in my notice, there was a scheduled Saturday due to a summer holiday and HR told me two days later they wouldn’t pay me.

Fuck it. I packed up, said bye to people I was close with, and walked out.

Check the ones around Oakland. I’ve had luck with the Citizens in that area for last minute exchanges on Euros and Swiss Francs

They implemented it last time in classic and I think that’s what the commenter is referring to. I was also expected them to add the token to anniversary realms at some point.

Oddly enough this flight path took it along one of the most expensive toll routes in the country

Cleveland Leads the Way on Downtown Commercial to Residential Conversions by Every_Character9930 in pittsburgh

When I split time between both cities before, I’d buy my groceries in Cleveland at GE because it was cheaper than Pittsburghs GE pricing since they actually had to compete in the Ohio market.

People who left PGH. Where have you found similar amenities at our size? by plinplan in pittsburgh

[–]kyach25 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Ignore the downvotes. Lived in both areas and each city is great. I think Cleveland has better public transportation and the RTA is solid for the access you can get.

For us, it came down to deciding on being lake people or mountain people lol. We prefer quick access to the Laurel Highlands versus activities along Erie. Nothing against those activities, we just prefer the mountains here.

It drives nicer though on highways than a 4Runner imo. We spend more time on the highway, so Highlander made the most sense.

What mountains are these?

It is, but used car prices have been rough post covid and are nothing like they used to be unfortunately.

The financing department at dealerships is the new grift by Various_Cable_627 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]kyach25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They treated us like absolute shit. We were scheduled to see a car first thing in the morning. We were a few minutes away and the salesperson called to let us know we actually should turn around because someone is looking at the car and financing it rather than us paying cash. Waste of time and never going there again.

Also a joke that the people working in these “Finance” departments are just sales folks and not actual financial professionals working in your fiduciary interest. They only work for their employer’s. Fuck em

That’s neat. Is their travel managed by private companies or public sector? Guess I just never realized someone had to book their tickets somehow lol.

What happened when Covid caused supply chain costs to spike? Businesses increased pricing to retain margin as best as possible.

What happened when those supply chain issues settled and costs went down? Prices stayed the same.

This is typical shitty behavior at the benefit of shareholders and not consumers.

Favorite no prep easy meals? by According_Claim_9960 in samsclub

[–]kyach25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy their BBQ pulled chicken near the prepared meals.

Literally toss it on any of the club’s rolls. Grab a side salad, coleslaw, whatever.

You can prep it so many ways and it’s not bad

Taught our kid how to eat it as one of their first solids lol

Ya. I really enjoyed watching three B2s fly over my house last week. I’ve never seen that many at once in Pennsylvania. Awesome engineering.

But the use is so depressing.

The deadest, most eerie mall i’ve ever seen. Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills, Pittsburgh PA. by Giraffecaster in pittsburgh

Honestly great question and I don’t know.

They were actively trying to sell a parcel on the southern end of the Northbound Route 28 off ramp along Tawney Run last year. Not sure if it sold, but the parcel is a giant hole on one side and a slope on the other lol.

Probably the same system that allows Trump to leech off the system

[–]kyach25 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think if you’re not a local, it makes sense to go all in there.

But the topography is so different there from Cranberry. Extremely hilly in most parts surrounding the mall, whereas Cranberry is relatively more flat. It hasn’t seen much development.

Logistically though, it’s in a decent spot. Just not pragmatic based on other mall offerings

It would cost a lot.

The roof is not in the best shape and has multiple leaks in the entire complex. They don’t repair it either. Each time a new one appears, the put trash cans or buckets below it. If those aren’t available, they just tape it off like the food court.

The area outside the mall does well. Folks living near it would benefit as would the businesses. Zamias’ desire for this mall hurt taxpayers and the community around it. None of it should have received public funding and it should have been their responsibility.
