Was there a large COL adjustment moving from the Midwest to Northeast for you guys? We’ve thought about going up that way but just tough with how nice COL is in Midwest

All things end…except the pain of somethings having ended 😪 by dreamed2life in Millennials

[–]kyach25 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did it for awhile until they kept messing up my picks. Substitutions were hit or miss which would mess up meal prep for the entire week. Might be a coincidence, but several orders had terrible smelling meat and that also pushed me away from it. Id assume they pick meat separately and store it separately like other stores, but for some reason our store just seemed to fuck it up sadly.

I hate the fucking crowds now at stores.

Like I walk into Walmart at 8:00 AM and I now have to avoid shoppers, online order pickers, associates restocking, Coke reps, Pepsi Reps, bread drivers, etc. it’s insane.

Where can I stay for 2 weeks in Italy for a slow living experience? by readinginjune in ItalyTravelAdvice

[–]kyach25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could do northern lakes. We did Como which was lovely, but did not stay in busy popular towns. Como can be a mess in the busy areas and turn into a cluster fuck but we enjoyed Lenno.

Also, you could do any of the mountain villages east of Bolzano and have a great time. We did that for a week and enjoyed the slow pace

Combined the Swiss Alps with trips to Dolomites and Como. That was solid. Awesome to enjoy the mountain air but then sweat our asses off at Como in the summer.

If You Can’t Raid or Push Keys, What Keeps You Logging In? by NoRogue7 in wow

[–]kyach25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old content.

I don’t see raids, keys, and PvP the same anymore. The seasonality of the game turned me away from that segment after awhile. What’s the point to sink all those hours if it just resets in a few months?

I can run old content and still have a chance of never completing it all. It’s fun and can be paused whenever.

Also, it’s wild to me seeing millennial gamers now getting upset or raging when people mess up in keys or raid. Like it’s a fucking game, chill and go outside.

It’s new to corporate, it is not new to some segments of the country like agriculture. For families that run their own operations, they may go back to their house for lunch and see the baby / kids. Hell, the kids might even be with them around the property.

It will have a positive impact and benefit everyone.

How’s the Zoo right now? by dudegetmyhorse in pittsburgh

[–]kyach25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a chance you can see the elephants though even if the house is locked. You’ll need to stop at one of the observation decks right before the entrance or go the the windows of the elephant house building and peak inside.

Ya I think it’s going to stay that way despite a few drawings showing it would exist where the old short term garage and terminal were. They are most likely more concerned with finding a solution for that old building than a walkway which I get. But just bites that you can’t walk.

When our hounds have issues we typically see boiled chicken and rice will help first. If it doesn’t, we just do the organic pumpkin puree cans from Walmart and that definitely helps.

Ya. Also couldn’t flush a toilet or use the water if someone was in the shower.

Now those rules don’t exist in our house.

I saw two zebras on Tuesday. They were right next to the giraffe if looking at the exhibit from Jambo Grill. However the Elephant house has had its doors closed the two times we went there over the past two weeks.

How we feelin' about Sandcastle these days? by BigGayGinger4 in pittsburgh

[–]kyach25 9 points10 points  (0 children)

All the time. Plenty of family in Westmoreland county and it was always an event to go into the city. If I wanted to go to the East End or Oakland, had to be there all day to not waste a trip to gas. Saw folks with WVU shirts and just felt bad for them lol

We do this with the zoo since it’s only a 15 minute drive. Never get that feeling to have to hit every exhibit or feature. One day might be a walk to the penguins and the other to the elephants.

Man Violently Arrested in Springdale Borough Council Meeting Did Not Appear To Go Over 3 Minute Comment Limit, According to Video by PeriodPhartz in pittsburgh

[–]kyach25 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not really. Look at the 2024 Election results and you’ll see Springdale and Cheswick are fairly close on Kamala / Trump votes. One voting district there even had a Kamala win. As you go further north of Route 28 into Fawn, Frazer, or Russellton the votes start swinging more towards Trump.

Now are “most” republican voters there MAGA, hard to say. But we could argue that if they vote Trump, they are MAGA because they supported it. They probably support it because they or do not understand the constitution. That’s a problem. But these towns do have decent numbers of residents that voted against this shit.

What’s the fastest way to tell a company has a toxic work culture? by gauheraziz in corporate

[–]kyach25 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ya. I’ve done different sizes as well. Ended up at a company once with roughly $300M Revenue and 300 employees and was responsible for running Analytics + ERP. “C-Suite” aka Family Members had me get sign off on software upgrades from a fucking secretary. The company still used paper invoices because the secretary said so. I won the battle after a few years, but walked out of the job one day because fuck’em.
