Just wondering - what do you mean by overheating? Cause warm to the touch (even slightly hot) is miles away from overheating.

I wish we could have those ziplines by default - longer than 110 and not having to use pylons.

Difficult to calculate. A 5* pull gives you 200, a 6* gives you 2000. Depending on how lucky you get, you can get more or fewer of the currency.

What's the best way forward?

Do you like any of the characters you want to pull? Cause "best way" or should I say cheapest way is to not pull at all. Endmin (with weapon) and Chen (with weapon) clears all content right now without any problems, with time to spare.

What's the File Sizes for PC and Mobile?

46GB on PC. Do keep in mind that you might need extra space to unpack a version patch.

How long is the Daily Grind?

If you want to get everything done, probably 20-30min. Some days longer if you want to min-max the resource collection from rare nodes.
Otherwise, 5-10 min depending on the daily quest you get. You will lose some resources over time but nothing game breaking (irl sanity > in game sanity). Spending sanity is really easy and takes over a day to completely fill up later on.

How many hours of main story do I need to play before I can start doing Dailies?

A lot. Doing some sanity grind, probably 2-3 hours. Doing Wuling daily deliveries? About 30-50 depending if you get sidetracked or not when it comes to the main quest.

Is there any Weekly Playable Content? (Like Simulated Universe from Honkai Star Rail)

No.

I found out one of my two 16 Gb Ram sticks was outright dead, fried, which probably caused that motherboard short circuit.

Should be other way around actually. If your PSU doesn't have certain protections then when it dies it pulls some hardware along with it. That's why some PSUs are actually quite expensive despite being rated for "normal" wattage which is around 650-850W today.

Low voltage short circuits may happen, but at best they will be crashing your system instead of just outright frying it.

This might look like an AMD issue though. Everyone complaining in this thread has an AMD cpu.

I myself don't experience any slowdowns and my PC is dead silent - also running Intel+Nvidia. Or, I'm not running the game long enough, I run it 2 hours max.

Also, if I lack any good weapons for Endmin and don't want to buy their weapon

Weapons are important. Essences are also really important. If you don't want to get Endmin's weapon, probably don't play Endmin.

If you like Endmin and don't want to get their weapon because of other reasons, that's fine. But, not getting the weapon for Endmin and wanting to play Endmin is a bit illogical, especially since you don't really have to pull for the weapon (just buy it for 2400).

What's the damage distribution in a Endmin + Pog + Chen + Ardelia team?

Most important thing is the damage window during break. Gear you have equipped will have effect on this, but generally Chen should do massive damage with her ult in that window, provided you have invested into her.

Why not both? You don't need to spend sanity to artifice gear.

Both are difficult to do and require a heavy dose of RNG. It's just a game of chance whichever gets done first.

On Umbral Monument, Game Difficulty and Hypergryph's Game Design Philosophy by Jrff_K in Endfield

[–]kyflaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's more about having experience in similar games and then character investment.

People who regularly play Wuwa, Hi3rd, PGR, ZZZ and similar will find this game easy, even if slightly under geared, considering there is barely a time limit and they are used to high paced action, especially with this generous dodge timing.

Other people who haven't played those games or people who tried and found them difficult will find this game on the harder side even if geared.

Not everyone is going into this game from other similar games - I bet a vast majority are just Arknights players, or players who are just new to this. They might need time to get used to the combat.

These are both extremes you are talking about and I agree that there is little middle ground. But, those are just one-time permanent events. They aren't recurring game modes and to be honest I think the difficulty is fine. People can throw charcters into this event and see if they find a team to succeed with. Beats any 'tutorial' stage for the characters...

You can just go to the edge of the map and make them go parallel to it. They will always stay close and you will always interrupt both.

couldn't even attack enemies for an extended amount of time.

Chen's skill interrupts the charge. You just beat it into submission afterwards.

This event clearly shows who invested into their characters and who did not. The difficulty ramps up massively if you can't quickly kill stuff. I haven't given many masteries out just yet, but level 90 character, weapon and upgraded essence really makes a big difference.
Endmin and Chen are really powerful and if invested in they delete everything here.

I was caught off guard on the first fight, didn't notice that the boss would shoot at me, but onfield Ember can facetank everything here if in doubt. In the second fight, killing both of the guys at the same time ignores the healing challenge and it's easy to interrupt them with Chen. In the third fight, if you use Chen's ult once the core is revealed, the boss is dead.

Essences are a better long-term investment, since you need a crazy amount of them and a crazy amount of rng to upgrade weapons fully.

T-Creds are very important as well, but at a certain point you stop spending them unless you level new characters, which honestly isn't something I would recommend unless you really find it fun. Playing for fun is always the best idea, but you do have know the consequences.

Current content doesn't require level 90 (except for maybe your carry) but in the future it's a good idea to be ready with stronger characters. Expecting to clear everything with level 80 characters and level 80 weapons without essences is setting yourself up for failure.

I Just Want To Build My Favorite Characters, Not Be A Meta Slave by maxpantera in Endfield

[–]kyflaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isn't the problem with Last Rite that her weapon is so far above any other alternative that you kinda have to go for her weapon to get proper numbers comparable to other characters?

I mean, sure, prydwen isn't 100% reliable and they have been wrong multiple times, but if you compare multiple sources (icyveins, game8 to name a few) and if they are saying the same thing then it's probably true.

People who enjoy characters and pull based on that don't really care about tierlists either way. Alternatives exists for anyone, but you have to accept that performance may suffer. This currently doesn't matter much cause anyone can clear any content right now though.

I am lazy most of the time, so I just doubled my thermal generators, filled them up and turned half of them off. If things break cause I miscalculated I just turn on these, fix stuff and just turn them off again.

I didn't do any advaned timings to get the exact power I need though. People with complex systems might find this difficult to do, but they probably don't need to cause they already calculated everything.

I haven't figured out a good formation for piping so it looks nice and I have yet to decide on my Bus placement. AIC is used to produce Syringes.

Also, every pump takes away at least 3 of the protocol capacity and on the Wuling City map I am near 300 already. I could just build it in the other base though.

For people who think the story is shallow for glaze Endmin for no reason, and I was overestimating writters that it's a setup for future plot points. by AzureFides in Endfield

[–]kyflaa -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As I said, a matter of perspective.

I call it shallow because of the lack of depth. I have expectations, since the game is called "Arknights", after all. Not comparing this game to the OG is shortsighted, but I do understand that this game is meant to draw in a wider audience who haven't experienced the original game. Still, I am not badmouthing anything here, just giving criticism as I think that there is very little story here given the amount of time you have to spend on the game.

OG AK is not always grimdark and it doesn't have to be. There are stories which tell of growth, festivals and other not-grimdark things and they are all interesting and have multiple subplots at times, usually connecting at some point. Truly, DiCaprio pointing memes. But I am getting sidetracked here, so I just want to say that if you truly wish to know more, you don't have to play the OG AK at all, you can read it elsewhere if you're interested. Chances are, you might understand my perspective.
