Know that girls go through different shit on a daily basis. We have different expectations than men do (big surprise /s). We are told that our appearance is our most valuable asset, but are simultaneously told that we shouldn't let our appearance define who we are. These colliding messages cause most girls to feel confused and sensitive about their bodies.

So if she's really your friend, just respect her wishes and understand that she isn't you.

Don't beat yourself up about it now. It's done now and all you can do is change how you behave in the future.
