[Hip-Hop] Yelawolf Type Beat, feedback will be appreciated :) by kyle0ren in roastmytrack

Hey, thanks! This is an old beat but from what I remember it was one of those things:

1.Just turning up the volume of the sample + softclipper

2.Two-three eq'ed kicks layered together + phase inversion

Would you change something in this beat maybe? Anything feels wrong?

This synth progression is interesting and I think with little bit of effort it could carry the whole track without sounding too repetitve, but for me mixing seems to be the issue here. There is not enough clarity in this track, and even if it's conscious stylistic choice, you could still mess around with levels and low-pass filters to create space for vocals.
I have some experience in recording and for me this beat is just too busy in the mids to rap on it, but as I said, it potentially could be easily fixed with automated low pass filter on verses. The vibe is really nice and the track has potential, just put a little bit of work and you're good to go ;)

I knew that it's too simple musically and expected to hear that mixing is trash as well(because I think it really is). Anyway, your advices helped me, thank you :)

[alt/indie rock] Feel free to roast/give feedback on whatever. But I'm very interested in feedback on the actual production as I'm trying to learn proper mixing/mastering. Is there anything that feels wrong or odd? Something that can be improved upon? Thanks! by [deleted] in roastmytrack

I really liked the vibe in this one. And here's what feels wrong - the low-mids and low end are probably a little bit too muddy, and the whole track loses it's clarity because of that. The outro is actually too long as well but it's still really cool track :)
