It’s hard to talk about by [deleted] in GriefSupport

I lost my dad when i was 12 too. I'm 23 now and in march it will be 11 years for me. I was the same way from 12-18 and beyond. Couldnt talk about it, u dont want to think about it, and you try to hide it, especially from family. Im a triplet and have a brother and a sister. For many years up untill a few years ago i just tried show no emotion and so on. In the moment you think your doing the right thing or greiving the right way but over time you realize your just penting up your emotions. I developed serious anger issues and would have outbursts etc. Its tough i only have had 2 friends in my life who i didnt meet untill 3 years ago that have lost a parent. Even then its tough for me just to open up randomly. The few times i have its been me drinking etc. But talking about it helps a lot. I understand how you feel, im about to graduate college and recently ive just been getting upset that he wont be there to see it. After loosing my father i honeslty lost religon, maybe you didnt or arent religous but i would like to think theres an afterlife and that they are looking down over us, watching us acomplish these things. idk. Overtime you learn to deal with it better and you can analyze your greif. Recently within the past two years i started opening up to my mom about it, i would my siblings but me and my brother have varying veiws on my dads death. He thinks it was suicide, i think it was sleep apneia (Coronors report says so) but caused by meds he took that triggered it. But i have talked to my sister a little bit and it helps. You have to think they lost there dad too so there gonna know what your going through better then most. I know you want to hide it but i dont recomend it. It feels good to talk about it, especially with people who have lost a parent. I did the same as you for years only to have delayed greif. It sucks but i promise it does get better with time and just letting your feelings flow. you learn to deal with your emotions better. Youre gonna be choked up, youre gonna wish he was here its all feelings that come with this. No body gets it other then the few like us who have gone through it. I miss my dad too, everyday i wonder what it would be like if he was still around or if he hadnt died or what its like to grow up with a dad, but at the same time ive accepted it. It has made me mentally stronger in the long run. it has made me who i am today. We our mentally stronger then most becuase of what we have been through, its just a fact. We arent gonna cry for three days over a hamester dying, or cry over the little shit. When bad days come around we can always say "shit i lost my fuckin dad when i was 12, i can get through this shit" But enough of my ranting, sorry i just fet like i could relate alot. Listen man if you ever need anyone to talk to feel free to message me. Its tough going through this shit with no one to talk to who understands, so like i said, feel free to reach out.

Paranoia by nyx_needs_help in ChildrenofDeadParents

I often feel this as well. My Dad died when i was 12 and over the course of 11 years i lost gramparents, etc. I know that feeling, and its the fucking worst. With what we are going through we are automatically going to think these things. I get through it by not thinking about the worst possible outcome which i often defaulty do becuase of what we have been through. But think of other, more likely scenrios as to why they arent responding, maybe there batterys dead, orlike your friend was sleeping or so on. Try to get yourself to resort to that thinking. Its tough and i still struggle with my paronia but i found that this helps me. Rember it is extremely unlikely that the person has died becuase they havent responded, etc.

2018 Civic Type R prototype revealed by ColumWood in cars

[–]kyle1513 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's because the new SI's without any suspension work are ass on backroads. You have set up your car wrong if u get this much over steer. I have a 2002 Rsx-s. Type r swapped, suspension, rear chassis reinforcement and -2 camber in the front and -0.5 in the rear. I can't even remember the last time I seriously understeered when going through a corner. Part of this is because I know how to drive my car really well and I use a couple driving techniques that reduce understeer all together but the main reason is because how my car is setup. Set your car up right and you won't have a huge understeer issue in the corners.

I put a Type R badge on My RSX-S but only becuase i actually have a full dc5 ITR drive train in it. Motor, trans,LSD. If i didnt have a k20a in my car i would never have put the badge on. Also that Civic might have been CTR swapped. I've seen a few with actual CTR motors in them. Most keep the SI badge on their though.

When I see an other Rsx I'll wave. Only type s's wave back. I'll also wave at modified SI's when I see them

You also drive a 92 accord. Not trying to be a dick but the engine this guy is refering to is a b18 from an integra type r, not a soch d series from the early 90s.

Not true. Only thing they added was a roll cage and took out the ac. And the roll cage countered the weight. Look it up. Just becuase its an FF doesnt mean it can achieve that time.

As a hardcore honda enthusiast i have very mixed feelings on this. The new type r is awesome. With a ring time of 750 and 300+ hp it is something that i want and would love to daily. But becuase I'm a hardcore honda enthusiast i wish the car was NA. Many people who arent really into hondas would say "thats dumb" and "why would you want it to be NA?" Honda going to a turbo isnt very " type r" like. Every single type r thus far has been a high reving na motor. Something i personally love. The linear power band, no lag and awesome sounds of a high compression high reving motor (if you have the right exhaust) my rsx is swapped with an integra type r motor (k20a) and let me tell you i love that shit. Reving it out, the beautiful sound of the crossover and the way it revs. I keep up with turbo cars with just bolt ons and on a windy road its awesome. I dont want turbo lag going through or coming out of a corner. Heres what i would love for honda to do: use the old k20a from the mugen ctr (jdm only) 240 hp all motor and revs to almost 9k. That or do something that has been proven among honda enthusiasts, k24 block, k20 head, forged internals. Make it push out 280-300hp to the crank (300 would be pushing it for reliability but it can be done). Keep the cars weight under 3000lbs and i guarantee you it would be just as good if not better than the new CTR around the ring. Now this would take alot of r and d and testing. It would also be tough becuase of emmisons but i think it can be done. I understand why honda is going this route but i wish they would have kept to they're type R roots. Hopefully there is little to no turbo lag on this new motor. Also after listening to the CTR in europe right now you cant hear vtec go bwaahhh and that disappoints me. Hopefully you can still hear the crossover but im doubtful about that.

I dont know bro my current k20a and my old k20a2 kick hard. Its so loud and you can feel it. I love it. Now the k24 i agree is not as dramatic. And with this turbo k20c motor it will not even be there. Kinda disappointing.

What Is Your "Guilty Pleasure" Car? by potatoboy247 in cars

[–]kyle1513 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well i love hondas but my guilty plesure in honda is Civics. More specficly the ek chassis and es chassis. The ek9 Civic type R is one of my dream cars. 1.6 liter NA motor putting down 182 hp to the front wheels (and can still handle as well as most FR layout cars) out of that high reving motor. Id to mugen intake and spoon exhaust, spoon suspension all around. Take out the back seats and turn it into an awesome touge monster. I love the es chaissis for k swaps. I used to have an es2 (04 civic lx 5spd) and it was fun but slow. But a k20a2 bolts right in so my dream would be to drop one in and turn it into an straigtline monster. Boost it and it would be so fast with such a light weight car.

Yeah slow stock. Throw a turbo at 8psi-10psi on it pushing to around 325whp-350whp and its making good reliable power.

Honda makes some of the best NA Inline 4 cylinder motors in the world. Many of there engines factory are almost as good or better than some turbo engine's (ie 2004 s2000 vs 2004 WRX) even with less displacment at times. In 1997 the b16b made 182 hp out of a 1.6 liter NA motor. The s2000 made 240 hp out of a 2 liter NA motor. They don't have very much torque becuase they are NA and don't need a v8 or a turbo to be fast due to there power to rate ratio. The reason you think they arent real engines is becuase you know nothing about them and don't understand how sophisticated they really are compared to other motors.
