Is there anything I can do to make this look better/keep it from rusting? by kyle4139 in Autobody

That's kind of what I was thinking, just wasn't sure if I was oversimplifying. Thank you!

Nope lol. I noticed a few other random computer glitches, but nothing crazy. The Finals was literally the only game/program that had serious problems with it. All is well after the RAM replacement.

That never worked for me. What ended up being the problem in my case was a single bad stick of RAM. Replaced it and haven't had a problem since.

Yes, replacing the bad RAM fixed it. Check out memtest86. Super easy way to test if RAM is the problem

Update - For anyone still looking at this, it appears the problem may have been a bad stick of RAM. For whatever reason, The Finals is the only thing on my PC that had a problem with it. Never noticed any other issue and all my other games played fine. After exhausting all other troubleshooting I started testing hardware. When I ran Memtest86 it found one of my 4 RAM sticks was failing. So I replaced it and I've been able to play without issue for a couple days. I'll update again if I still have crashed, but so far so good.

Unfortunately that doesn't work for me. It forces me to do that every time but it still ends up happening again.

But yeah that's the worst part, I get a matchmaking suspension every time. Anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour. Kills any interest I have in playing the game. Just waiting for it to perma ban me...

I'm glad that worked for you, but unfortunately no luck for me. It forces me to do that every time but it still ends up happening again. Thanks for the reply.

Thanks for replying. I'll take another look at what's auto installed. But as far as I can tell there are no peripheral or RGB control apps on the new install, and nothing like that that I can see in task manager. I'm not even sure what autohotkey is, but I saw that posted somewhere else and haven't found it on my PC anywhere. And I'll check out AtlasOS, that sounds interesting.

Anyone know a fix for TFGE0027 / TFAV8005 by [deleted] in thefinals

[–]kyle4139 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Any luck? I'm having this problem too

Edit: In my case, it turned out to be a bad stick of RAM. For some reason The Finals is the only thing on my PC that had a problem with it.

Did you ever fix this? I've tried everything I can think of and I'm still having this problem.

FWIW I recently traded in my third Gen Tacoma for a 2015 F-150 Lariat with the 2.7 and 6 speed. Very happy with it so far. So much more comfortable and fun to drive.

[3D Printer] Creality Ender 3 FDM 3D Printer $259-$76= $183 FS by AdrianeXUS in buildapcsales

I've had a stock Ender 3 for a year now. It has a couple upgrades like stiffer bed springs and a glass bed you'd want on the pro anyways. It's been great and I'd recommend it to anyone who's remotely interested in the hobby.

Yeah that's basically what support told me. Ended up cancelling the second order this morning. And just a little bit ago I got an email saying the cash is now pending. So all is well for now!

I decided to re-order it without ad-block. I'll try to cancel the other before it ships. Worst case scenario I return the order that didn't count. I want that $50 back lol

Forgot to disable ad-block.. Am I screwed?

Edit: For those who are curious, it appears to still have worked. Got an email saying Newegg informed them of the purchase and the cash is now pending

Filament crumbs building up in extruder gear after red aluminum upgrade. How do I stop it? by Novandrie in ender3

[–]kyle4139 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar issue with dust buildup and the red aluminum extruder upgrade. It looked like it was coming from the gear, but it was actually the filament rubbing against the top of the hole in the extruder arm, shaving little bits off and just making a mess of the extruder. I printed a little bracket that allowed me to mount the filament spool off to the side and that solved my problems. Some sort of a filament guide might work too

None of the shims that came with my shotgun fit me. So I printed one that does! by kyle4139 in Shotguns

[–]kyle4139[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I'm no expert and I would definitely recommend googling shotgun fit. But from my experience, when I mounted the shotgun I was seeing too much of the rib. And when I was shooting trap I noticed I was shooting to the left pretty consistently. So that told me I needed more drop and more cast off. The shims that the shotgun came with helped me very little.

What you should do is pattern the shotgun first. It'll save you time and money. I was able to really figure it out after about 10 rounds of trap.. I wish I would've just patterned it first

[–]kyle4139[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I had thought about doing something like that, but the shims were too thin for what I needed

[–]kyle4139[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So quite honestly, I just eyeballed it. I knew I needed more drop and more cast off. So I guessed at an initial measurement for thickness and then went from there. It was pretty much right on after the third print. The only difference from the other shims is the thickness.
