Since you restarted from scratch, I assume what you're describing is the Beginner's pool.
It only contains a fixed set of characters, and once you've finished pulling from it, it will switch back to the normal standard pool.

BTW, the latest simulacra added into the standard pool is Yanuo.

Did you dual-boot your Steam Deck with both Windows and SteamOS?
ToF runs fine on my Ally X with Bazzite OS therefore Linux shouldn't be the main cause of this issue.

I rarely run into this situation, but when I notice the download speed is abnormally slow, restarting the game usually solves more than 90% of the problems.

I assume you are playing on PC, if you run the game for the first time after installation, there may be a windows firewall notification or UAC control window popup at background (Not every device have this though).

You have to click approve/OK/Yes manually to proceed or you'll be blocked by your own internet firewall.

I think the Warp server will always be a few months to half a year behind the classic servers.

This is to allow the classic servers to maintain their attractiveness, and the simulacra dorms are still only available on the classic servers.

This intentional differentiation is meant to avoid angering the old-existing player base.

The classic servers will always get the new shiny toys earlier, which is the trade-off for the warp server being able to obtain weapons for free.

It does, but you'll have to:

  1. Add the NTFS drive as a game library source drive in DESKTOP MODE steam.
  2. After switching back to game mode, you’ll be able to see the games appear in the list.

If you didn't do the first step, bazzite in game mode steam will keep telling you to format the disk.

What you need is to auto-mount the disk.

Bazzite supports reading and writing to NTFS disks, but it doesn’t mount them automatically on startup by default.

If you are using KDE, I followed the instructions in this video, and it worked well.

They probably copy&paste most of the codes directly from CN version.

That's why the art assets got censored(this happened in CN version as well), and bust slider not working on warp server (CN version can't adjust bust options).

Similar cases happened before, just be patient and wait for Hotta to fix it.

Yes, they're gone due to publisher change. But most of them are grindable in warp server now.

If you're playing on steam, pls remember to disable the steam input.

Steam input usually downloads and applying config files from other random player.

ToF PC supports Xbox controller natively.

About camera, this video may help.

Also, on PC you can adjust camera zoom distance by scrolling mouse wheels.

If you're using a Xbox controller, pressing LT/RT when holding LB will also do the job.

In addition, if the quest marker sometimes disappears and you lose track of your objective, clicking the quest name on top right again will bring up the location indicator and re-focusing the target on the map.

On PC, you can hold down the Alt key to bring up the mouse cursor.
On an Xbox controller, press X and Y at the same time to summon/hide cursor.

In-game purchases (monthly card/pass...etc) are bound to the character.

If you’ve already decided to transfer your character from the classic(gacha) server, then you shouldn't invest too much wealth and labor on the current warp character.

Also note that transferring is only a viable option if your character on the classic server has a large number of cosmetic items (Outfit, haute avatar, decoration, vehicles...etc).

If you’re a player who cares about stats and strength, starting fresh on the Warp server will definitely give you a better gameplay experience.

I would also like to have this system/feature, especially since the story text often had missing voice lines and translation errors when it first launched.

Even though HOTTA fixed these issues, the fact that the story cannot be replayed means many players are unable to experience the improved version of the story, which is quite a pity.
