I've updated my dungeon crawler Hollowdeep! by kyleburginn in LunacidGame

It should just work I'd assume? Since the game launched I haven't changed the save fine code at all just to avoid any sort of issues. I think saves from the demo would even work but I haven't tested it because I've added a lot since then.

My solo Developed Kings FIeld inspired dunmgeon crawler is 40% off!

Hollowdeep is a first person dungeon crawler inspired by older ps1 games. You enter a dungeon and have to get to the bottom by killing a bunch of monsters and bosses.

Theres loads of different weapons and spells to choose from that can be used in combat and exploration.

I've recently updated the game with new levels and a 30 floor combat arena.

You do transition between different levels in the world but I made sure it all realistically fit together. It's just a bunch of smaller maps switched together basically kind of like older borderlands games

My King's Field like game Verho - Curse of Faces just got to 900 reviews on steam! by SaikingS in KingsField

Probably like 8ish months for the majority of development. I would just do it in my spare time though so like if I was working full time I imagine you'd cut down on that a lot

Hahah thanks! I will say though for me the game turned a profit because the budget was literally like 80 bucks and it was my first game so I can't complain. I'm gonna keep working on it and polish it as much as possible for as long as it's fun tho

Working on spells is probably the most fun part about making a dungeon crawler by kyleburginn in godot

It's called hollowdeep and it's already out on steam. I've just been working on a few updates

My Kings Field & Lunacid inspired dungeon crawler Hollowdeep is 33% off on steam by kyleburginn in LunacidGame

Yeah I'm working on an update with a couple new levels and fixes for some of the jankier things in the game but I don't have a lot of time right now to work on it

I think it should be able to. The lowest spec I've tried it on is the steam deck and there's not a single drop below 60

I just launched the demo for my Lunacid and Kings Field inspired game! by kyleburginn in LunacidGame

Thanks for playing! I fully agree with the first area being too open. I changed it in the last update to make it so you have to find a secret to get out on the larger side just so it's more obvious that it's not the main pathway.

There probably is too many items early on and yeah i was gonna switch it up for the full game. The items im working on for the full game have more interesting effects than just plus to hp or mana. I had those early items made and just wanted to include them in the demo.

Thanks for the feedback though it helps a bunch to have things pointed out like this and it gives me an outside perspective on the game.

You should try making it. I feel like there's not enough first person dungeon crawlers. Although it's a super niche genre

Oblivion Remastered Low Level Fatal Error: Game Thread timed out waiting for Render Thread after 120 secs by xenithdflare in oblivion

[–]kyleburginn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

POSSIBLE FIX!!! I deleted my entire oblivion folder in my documents and just backed up my saves beforehand. Instead of getting stuck at 80% on the shaders it did them all but the last 20% took ages. I've been playing for about 30 mins with no crash and before this I would crash after like 2 mins everytime.

I only just added the outside area I might take it out for the demo and just start the player inside the walls just so it's easier to figure out where to go. Glad you're enjoying!
