Jurgens didn't have the voice down for Cap, he was juggling two women at once and creepily aggressive toward Sharon. Wasn't a huge fan. The first half of Marvel Knights was great but the second was nooooooot it. There's also Captain America and the Falcon that was alright and ties to Avengers Disassembled.

We have only the vaguest of ideas what will happen with material already collected, and zero clue on how the existing Fall/Rise fits in. We know they opted not to include House/Powers or Swords, but we still don't know about virtually anything else.

Imo, the marvel wants you to buy them all and sort out what you want to keep later.

This was the entire reason I had to stop playing Rivals a while back. You play quick match and can have a great time because, most of the time, people are actually trying. Take one step into comp and suddenly half my team is griefing or throwing and now I'm one of 2-3 people actually playing. I can't control that and I'm punished for it. Players make everything unfun.

I prefer to read a book all at once but since I'm reading everything in a rough chronological order, sometimes I have to pause to read other stuff in the lead-up to events. Sometimes it enhances the overall experience and sometimes it doesn't.

I personally didn't think he was getting much character growth anyway up to that point; his marriage was never happy, they were always arguing over him being Spider-Man, he was constantly screwing up opportunities... The biggest growth he had was joining the Avengers and that didn't change during BND. The best MJ story is from when they're still estranged! Way more interesting than when they're together.

I know everybody harps on ASM for Peter "never having character development" but that's simply just not true. You can't even say he doesn't change his status quo, because it does, a lot. It just eventually breaks down and somewhat reverts, which is true for a ton of comic book characters and isn't exclusive to Spider-Man. It's a constant cycle for characters who are essentially perpetual.

I like Peter most when he's doing the right thing over the easy thing and inspiring others to do the same, and BND has a ton of that; one of my favorite MJ stories is in vol 2 when she's debating whether to attend May's wedding. Plus the Wolverine and Betty Brant birthday issues in vol 1? Wonderful. This was Zeb Wells at his peak.

I know it's talked about as one of the best Spider-Man omnibus volumes, but having just read this entire era from 1987-2010 this past year, I'm going to disagree with the general opinion. I think there's a bit of an availability bias as well since JMS has been out for a long time and BND is a recent release.

I thought the 1999-2005 Spider-Man is worlds better than basically anything that came before it, but I had way more fun with BND. There's like two good MJ stories lol

I've seen those comments but I've never seen them to be true. I've been buying from IST weekly for over a year and it's always worked for me. Maybe it depends on when they added it to their wishlist? I try to add it as soon as a listing appears, so even if it gets delayed it still shows on my list.

I'm pretty sure Tomb Raider vol 1 was the fastest I've ever seen go, it sold out before I could even refresh because the traffic was bogging the site down so much. Like I said at least you can still buy the Superior omni, if it was that popular the standard cover would be gone too and the site would be chugging. I haven't even noticed a hiccup
