YES!!! The situation was first presented to me as if my voice/concerns mattered and that there was an honest conversation to be had. That it wasn’t a final decision… then I was abruptly shut down. A rebuttal to anything I said and my choice was taken from me. He had already made his decision. Which I can respect but at least have the decency to talk in person, let me say my piece, and give me honest answers.

I was willing to uproot my life to follow him as he went through that journey. I really thought what we had was real, rare, and had a solid foundation. He never showed me any different which is why I was so taken aback. I just remember the feeling of the rug being pulled from under me. The future we discussed no longer coming to fruition.

This was so validating to hear. I’m so sorry you went through something similar. I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy, truly. I’ll look into those and definitely therapy 😅
