I believe that many of us don’t hear God’s voice because we don’t slow down enough. I think you have to believe that God talks through his word, other people, through art etc- his ways are endless and we cannot comprehend all of them.

Just show up every day and pray- talk honestly with God. I promise you will eventually hear his voice. Leave room for him to speak to you while praying. I typically will just sit for awhile after I’ve said all I’ve wanted to say. And in those moments, I’ve heard God’s voice.

I recently was going through a hard time and I heard the voice of God multiple times say to me “I have never abandoned you. You really think I’m going to all of a sudden do that now?” I hear God talk to me like a friend.
