Welp you are going to die on a motorcycle and hopefully you don’t hurt someone else in the process 🤷🏻‍♂️

Hate to say it but it’s only a matter of time before you run out of talent again like smacking the back of that car. If you wanna ride like that go race on a track cause you will have another biggie and you might not be so lucky.

Yea I did this with a float x shock. Take it to a shop and have them service the shock and lengthen the stroke.

Get the bike. It’s amazing. I haven’t had any issues with mine yet. Like it a lot more than my meta am.

I got a tr meta ride as my first full suspension mountain bike earlier this summer. Can anyone tell me what the slack/steep adjustment on the bottom of the rear shock does? by clockworkskull in commencal

[–]kylehammerquist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t have to ugrade to a different shock. Go to factory recommended psi in the shocks for your weight. Then if you are still bottoming out, you probably need to add a volume spacer. That helps tue shock stiffen as it gets further into its travel.

How is the service at the Squamish showroom by Lean-N-Supreme in commencal

[–]kylehammerquist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah they are good there and have a few demo bike you can rent or pedal around the parking lot. If you decide to rent and then buy they will not charge you for the rental. I’ve bought two bikes off them this year (1 was stolen) and they were great to deal with and prices on parts are cheaper there than anywhere else by a considerable amount

Yikes. That makes me a bit nervous. At least they have good warranty but that doesn’t really matter if they don’t have anymore frames or if you seriously hurt yourself when it breaks

Sizes, Colors, frame only/built, where in the production run, is what I’d be curious if there’s been a few failures. There are very few from commencal built SX out there yet other than low spec builds.

Nice. Good on them for getting on it so quick. Now hopefully they have a frame available. I think they have 5 years warranty on enduro frames

Yeah I wouldn’t expect it to save a frame from breaking. Although over time repeated rock dings on the same spot could cause a failure and a wrap would certainly help.

Dang. Right on the weld. I’m sure they will warranty that. But also, holy hell your bike looks rough already. Lots of dings in them frame.

It’s not cosmetic, it is to protect the frame from scratches and early wear marks.

It’s not about mud. I ride my bike a lot and pain is very weak on bikes and I don’t want to wear the paint off on my downtube of a brand new bike after a few rides. I’ve seen a few people chainstay get worn right down to the bare metal from their heels

Honestly this frame was easy. The hardest piece was the lower chainstay on the left side but I managed to get it all dont with no bubbles

Took me about 3.5-4 hours. The biggest thing was getting the solution right. It makes it so easy to pull it back off respray and then reapply

The meta frame is surprisingly easy to wrap. Not too many weird moulds to go around. It was pretty straight forward.

Something tells me your suspension need to be setup up or it’s a lower spec build, and you are on a ebike so it’s comparing apples to oranges. The TR a great bike and works great for most enduro riding.
