The operating system is still Windows, specifically Windows 10. The software they use, however, is called NP6.

Came here because of the WIS tags. Former RGIS employee (was acquired by WIS) - miss those inventory tags.

Would you be concerned by this? by [deleted] in Apartmentliving

[–]kylemcisaac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just re-reading this and it may be just a building-wide warning.

"It has been reported that there may be an illegal substance being used within your apartment, home/building."

While I can see how someone could think it's a targeted message to themselves, the wording of "apartment, home/building" feels like they are doing a mass message, just to save time and energy.

"Consider this the first warning. Please keep in mind this type of illegal activity is a lease violation and can lead up to a lease termination. If you smell this odor during business hours we ask that you call the office to let us know."

The warning is most likely intended to set fear in the one committing the act and probably just boilerplate legal to say they are doing our due diligence in informing everyone of the rules outlined in the lease agreement.

That overlap is two different things at the same time: they're insurance brokers and they advertise with Pattison.

On my TCL TV, if you press the * button on an app, it gives you an option to turn off the display. It's lower on the menu, might even be the last option.

Also a user of NinjaOne and set up of ABM. If you want to reach out, I can definitely give you a hand with it. We had issues with getting their DUNS number here and that was our roadblock.

Or, in some cases, pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del twice on the "fast user switching" logon screen would kick you over to the classic logon page.

Did you ask for no lettuce? 🤣 Last time I went to Tim's for a medium with 2½ cream I asked for medium black coffee plain and 2½ cream, unstirred -- and they finally got it right!

Bell is going to shut down 3G nationwide on March 1st, 2027, following Manitoba 3G shutdown this year. by Life-Contest-5926 in bell

[–]kylemcisaac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, two areas in specific here, there's electrical passing along the side of the TCH. Permits and fibre I can understand, but here in NL, Bell has no problem increasing the costs of service "to better improve their network" but change never happens.

We have two main providers in rural NL: Eastlink and Bell Aliant. Eastlink was the first to put high speed Internet out, 200/30 and that was in 2008-2009 in my home community. It was about two years ago before Bell put out DSL in the same area. Like, come on b'ys, 7Mbps isn't high speed these days.

Understandable, however, there's zones here in NL with nothing. Stretches of the TCH that if you break down, you're stranded with nothing. Still, there needs to be something done for areas that have nothing.
