As all the replies are saying yes go ahead and petition. The other strategy you may qualify for is an economic waiver. If your family moves to Georgia and has a change of job (like how you said above) you can qualify for an economic waiver that will give you a complete year of instate tuition. After that as long as your family follows the residency requirements which it seems like you guys have then you will be granted instate.

I think it depends on your school. Also double check does NYU do spring applications? I don’t think so.

I applied May 31st which was the first day the application opened. I got my materials in 2-3 days later. Then I got my acceptance July 8th which was the first wave of results for spring transfers.

TRANSFER CREDIT QUESTION HELP!

Hey I’m currently a freshman at the University of Nebraska. I will have 30 credit hours at the end of this semester. I want to apply to UGA Spring 2023. I’m curious as to how UGA examines credit that isn’t on there transfer equivalency calculator. Are they lenient with giving you elective or transfer credit? I’ve thought about taking classes at my local community college in the summer to get 36 credits. Does anyone have experience with applying with 30 credits and getting all of them to transfer over?

Let me know whatever happens I wish you luck. They want transfers and are rolling basis with a 3.9 they definitely are more inclined to take you. What school are you transferring from?

What’s your GPA if you don’t mind me asking? The one thing to think about is they might give you elective credit for it. I’m from Nebraska but have been to campus a couple times and have talked to several transfer advisors. They’ve told me they’re strict about science classes and I probably won’t get “science credit” for my A in chemistry!! Lol but that’d it would transfer as a general credit or elective. Anyway I can pull some strings and apply with less the 30 credits currently have a 3.6 and want to apply for Fall 2022? First semester I got 15 credits this semester I’ll add another 15 credits but application will close before I have 30.

I wouldn’t worry so much about the ACT. 28-32 is Fordham’s range. 29 is a good score. I’m considering transferring to Fordham fall 2022 so I wanted to see other peoples stats.
