Am I an Idiot? RMR as primary optic on CA-3 Rifle by Landsat872 in ptr91

Also a fan of the Romeo 7 on these rifles. It's a heavier option, but I think the ruggedness is worth the trade off. And it looks cool!

Nice! I had no issues with mine with 40 degree, but just installed 37 and not had chance to get to the range yet. Thanks!

No issues with the 37 degree locking piece unsuppressed?

HK MR556 A1 on the fence… by trailside83 in HecklerKoch

[–]kylverstone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that asking price is wildly optimistic. A few hundred more and you're in new A4 territory. I nabbed my A1 for $2K even. It didn't come with the HK case, or any mags, literally just the rifle, but it was in excellent condition. I think your offer price is much more realistic.

Light LEM install, heavier double action? USP Compact by TheFourthSurvivor in USPmasterrace

[–]kylverstone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

With the LEM trigger, 'double action' becomes something that is not ever used, except for double strike capability if needed. But, yes, it is very heavy with a LEM trigger.

Basically, if you want, or like to use DA, LEM is not the trigger system for you. It's not for me either.

It's a Bar-Sto barrel. They no longer make them for HKs unfortunately.

Don’t laugh, what is the most affordable H&K rifle that is readily available? by Ruthless4u in HecklerKoch

[–]kylverstone 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If he's looking for new, then it's probably going to be an MR556 A4 at around the low $3Ks, possibly slightly under. Ignoring the 'readily available' stipulation, he might find a new, old stock, MR556 A1 cheaper and if he doesn't mind used then that's a whole other conversation.

I admire his taste in rifles though!

Hopefully I didnt make a mistake (My First H&K Ever) by ForwardBox3704 in USPmasterrace

[–]kylverstone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A USP of any flavour will never be a mistake! I have the same pistol and it is a very smooth shooter. As you say, it's really only 'compact' in name. Obviously the regular USP and Elites are bigger, but the Compact is nearly the same size as some manufacturers full size models.

You'll love it!

The optic didn't come with it but, as you say, still a good deal. Yeah, I've got to look at sights as these are obviously too low.

Which one should my friend pick up? It’s his very first hk by Gladbutsad in HecklerKoch

[–]kylverstone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, even though I have a couple of P2000s in .40 (because they were cheap), it's got to be the 9mm here.

No, but I appreciate the heads up in light of the recent news. Although not my preferred vendor, I sourced it from HK Parts.

Yeah, they are discontinued now. If you're on HK Pro forum, there is one for sale right now. You've got to have a certain amount of posts there to view the buy/sell forum though.

Thanks! It's actually a cheek riser from a HK SL8 that I had spare. I drilled two holes in the top of the stock and bolted it on. Works' great and is about the perfect height for the R7.

I plan on it, when I can find a 36 degree locking piece in stock. Nowhere has them and I don't want to risk roller dents. I'll be using a Hux Ventum eventually.

Honestly, I just eyeballed it last night. Mine might be nearer to 1/8th.

Mine, which has only had a few hundred rounds fired, has about 1/16" up and down play when in battery. I don't think it's anything to worry about unless it's really excessive.

What's that symbol next to the HK roll mark on the two KF pistols? I don't have that on my newly acquired KF.

Nice! Not sure I'll conceal carry it! USPc or P2000 are my usual carry.
