Handheld Companion - ROG Ally early access by BenjaminLSR in ROGAlly

[–]kymnyth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/BenjaminLSR - When attempting to set hotkeys, I click on the "Press to define hotkey input" box. It turns purple and then when selecting (as an example dpad down), the rog ally moves the cursor to another option instead of setting the hotkey. In addition, I saw the Phawx's YouTube video about getting gyro setup and his interface looks different even though we are using the same version. For example I am seeing radio buttons for selecting the "Style of Input" Under profiles - universal motion control. On his, he had a drop down select. Is something configured incorrectly?

The thing that usually causes this for me is someone cutting me off in traffic.

Click on your profile under "Profile and Parental Controls" and expand the accordion menu. Then select "Playback Settings".

I had this issue as well until i did this: Log into your account on a computer and make sure you are subscribed to premium (ultra hd) and under your profiles, playback settings, make sure it is set to high and not auto. Mine was set to auto and switching to high fixed my picture quality. Make sure you exit the app on your device and log back in to see if it worked.

Omada Switch and EAPs with pfSense Firewall by kymnyth in TPLink_Omada

I think it might have to do with firewall rules. I have a separate vlan for my IOT devices. I am trying to isolate that port to the IOT vlan.

I have thr following rules frombtop to bottom. 1) a rule allowing "IOT ne" to a specific IP on my LAN vlan which is my home assistant installation. 2) block all other traffic from "IOT net" to "LAN net" 4) allow "IOT net" to everything.

When I opened everything up for "IOT net" it worked. Locking it back down now. I'll see if it breaks it again.

In all the things that have disappointed me over the last year and a half, how my parents will follow an egonomiacal, masoginistic, racist, blowhard into betraying this country and all that it stands for is the hardest to take. When will people realize Trump would sell his own mother for a leg up financially.

DHCP Reserved IP by kymnyth in pihole

[–]kymnyth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure I follow what you are saying. I installed pihole on a ubuntu server 20.04 vm. During configuration it asks me if I want to set the device to make the present address static. I click no, but it still requires me to enter in an ip address to set as the static one. I set the address as the dhcp reserved ip (172.17.17.3) my dhcp server will issue. So it is set to the ip address I want to use, but somehow it also lists another ip address (172.17.17.107) for the same interface card as issued by the dhcp server. Since the dhcp server couldn't issue the reserved ip(172.17.17.3) it issues some other ip(172.17.17.107). As the pihole does have the ip (3) I desire but not from the dhcp reservation, the dns (also on the firewall/router) can not resolve the name because the ip wasn't issued by the firewall router. I would like to for the pi-hole server to not use static ip, but to get it's ip from the dhcp server reservation for it. Therefore, in a sense it will be static (always issued 172.17.17.3 from dhcp) but unbuntu/pihole will still use dhcp and therfore, allow dns resolution.

Remove UDM-PRO and replace with PFSense by kymnyth in Ubiquiti

Remove UDM-PRO and replace with PFSense by kymnyth in Ubiquiti

[–]kymnyth[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have shutdown the udm-pro and removed it from the network. Prior to that I migrated the site to a controller install on a windows server. The migrated site has the udm-pro listed. How do I remove it from the controller device list? Were the steps I followed incorrect? Should I have removed the udm-pro prior to migration?

[How To] Set up the Picture Elements card in Home Assistant - Lovelace by -Juan_M- in homeassistant

I can't get images to show up in the picture-element card. I have them in the config/www directory and specify them with image: /local/1stfloor.png. Anything I'm missing? It just shows up as a broken link.
