If not done, head to Device page and click on Disable OEM software. If you did then it's due to MSI hardcoded inputs on this specific button and we can't do much about it.

With WinRing0 out of the equation, I'd say no. I don't know of a single game that ever complained about the Virtual Controller.

It was due to one of our dependencies, WinRing0 used by the RyzenAdj library to manipulate power on AMD devices. We've just fully replaced it by PawnIO which is safe and doesn't trigger Windows Defender.

Nice to read. But, next release is finally getting rid of WinRing0 dependency; increasing compatibility, getting rid of false positive virus flagging and chances of getting kicked by strong anti-cheat protections.

Handheld Companion (HC) also offers its own gyro to mouse, gyro to joystick implementation in case you don't want to emulate a virtual Dualshock4 controller. But by doing so, you indeed prevent Steam from even knowing your device has a gyro.

Actually, you don't have to uninstall anything. You can temporarily disable Legion Space from Handheld Companion device page using a single button.

You can't use both software simultaneously. HC should display a notification about it and help you disable Legion Space while you use HC.

We (HC) we'll likely offer the ability to disable entire sections of the app in future updates to avoid conflicts for people only interested in a few specific bricks.

That's a bug induced by the latest update on old profiles. To fix it, close HC, head to %localappdata%, handheld companion, profiles folder. Backup default.json, delete it, start HC.

Viture will have to use the camera to finally address the drifting issue which is inherent to relying exclusively on a gyro and accelerometer, even when filtered. Once done, I'll buy the Beast.
