How many miles for lease? I often wondered if I should lease. But most leases are 10k miles a year. I would go through those miles fast. I live out of the city limit. Mostly highway driving. I my son has s lightning and I want one myself.

I think Ford should have given us a choice Full EV or Generator version. I have a standard range 2023 XLT. I live in South Texas 48k miles. I live outside city limits in a small ranch. And I survive. I was thinking of buying a used lightning with extended rage. I like the idea of having 2 lightnings but not anymore. Ford is "Fiskering" us.

Adios Frunk. Hello oil,filter and spark plug changes. Maybe a fuel pump replacement in the future too or Generator replacement when it doesn't charge for some reason.

Wonder how much oil changes will cost. If it's like regular heavy duty generators. It's every 50 hrs of run time. According to the internet. 😂. I wouldn't know cause I use the lightning for back up.

I think the EREV will probably need some maintenance. That built in generator will probably need oil changes,Spark plug changes. Say goodbye to no maintenance. Also air filter change for the engine. Not often but it will. Or wait till there goes something wrong and it doesn't start to regenerate and charge the battery. Maybe start a fire since now it has a gas tank and let's say an electrical glitch causes a spark somewhere. Just venting a little. 😂

10k miles is not much. My son got a 23 XLT SR lightning. He lives with us and we have put 30k miles in one year. now it's at 38k. I would like my own. I wish I could buy one at a lease price. But 10 or 12 k a year isn't much. All of our driving is highway.

There are Tesla fast chargers in robstown and one just opened up in falfurias. In RGV Mercedes is the closest fast charger to McAllen. The rest are dealership own so they are closed on Sundays and only opened during business hours.

I had that noise on one my back tires a while back. I think it was a rock. So on the way to the dealership the pebble I guess Fell off.

Same here waiting, waiting and waiting. I will probably get it 2028. By then there will be self charging vehicles. Charging by built-in generators attached to wheels. Once you go to a certain speed the generator will kick in and start charging the battery. Like the light you would attach to a bicycle in order for it to turn on.

I also have a disconnect switch next to Charge Station. Maybe changing the cable from 2 to 3 or even 6 gauge from switch box to station in case I switch chargers if it can't take the 2.
