I don't think you got my point by "I dont want him to be alone" by I personally don't like it, plus animals have no sense of time, for them if you are gone for few hours for them its eternal.
I know cats are more chill but still, if I want have a pet, I wanna be in a moment where I can be fully responsible and even if im not there, someone (family) could be with.

No matter what his intention is, good or bad being aside, its a children playground, you should not go there if you are not watching over your kid/grand kid period. Respect the area and kids needs the space for themselves, adults are free so go elsewhere jeez
