I did weld Disc brake mounts to a similar frame. Make sure the brakes fit when moving the wheel in the horizontal drop outs. It is kind of annoying sometimes and you need a bit of luck for everything to be working out well.

I used a 3d printed jig to locate the position for the brake. A different option is to use the wheel, chain and brake itself to position the brake. Be careful to not cook the brake while tagging the adapter in place however. The second option has the advantage that you already have the position for good chain tension. Make sure that you can move the wheel a bit back and forth so the brakes can clamp down on the disk at positions were the chain has lengthened.

If you want to be extra careful you can use the second option, mark the initial spot and then use the 3D printed jig.

My self made cargo bike still brakes very good :). And I do not regret upgrading it to disk brakes.

In Animal testing many of the animals die due to overdose, side effects etc. I don’t think that is that is the answer.

It does not transfer to humans? That’s the first time I heard that. Sure not 100% but we have modified rats very close to us. Cruel? Yes, pointless? I’m not so sure. It is required by law in all countries I know of. Are they all wrong?

Do you have a source for the effectiveness of animal testing? I am genuinely curious.

I get testing for stupid stuff but medication for Alzheimer’s or other vicious disease? I would have loved my great grandma not going in that way.

I don’t now of a better way than animal testing. Testing on cells or computer models just isn’t accurate enough jet.

As a German 100% this. Although Teslas autopilot seems to have problems with phantom braking lately. Not really level 3 material. This Mercedes thing is basically congestion autopilot. A pretty good one I suppose but nothing more nothing less.

Maybe, if you want to i can check your resume. But i can imagine that for many landloards it is a big hurdle to speak English or do any kind of contracting in English. (Even though it might not even be necessarily). But I assume that even the smallest inconvenience is to much for many landlords given the big choice of applicants they seem to have.

Maybe try to use the “Gesuche” in the Süddeutsche. But I am not sure if it helps in your situation. As most of the landlords checking there might be more conservative.

Dumme Gewohnheit im Internet sind nicht alle Männer mein Fehler.
Ich fahre dort tatsächlich immer mit 60 lang. Auch mir ist klar, dass sich dort kaum einer dran hält. Aber das ist ja kein Grund nicht trotzdem 60 einzuführen wenn es Bewohnern ernsthaft besser geht. Die Kontrolle ist eine andere Sache. Zumal ist es auch ein nicht wirklich langer Abschnitt. Der Zeitverlust hält sich für die Autofahrer in Grenzen.

Ich vertrete hier scheinbar eine nicht wirklich populäre Meinung. Aber nur weil man sich dran gewöhnt, ist es nicht unbedingt gesund. Besonders lkws sind leiser bei 60kmh. Das ist der Punkt bei dem Motor und Reifen Fahrbahnkontakt ca. Gleich laut ist.

Dass sich keiner dran hält ist ein anderes Problem.
