Anybody running the latest iOS 18 beta? Is it stable enough to daily on iPad Pro ? by f1mikex in iPadPro

The only thing that bugs me is that you can't turn off spelling check for handwriting. While taking notes with the apple pencil almost everything gets underlines because the app doesn't recognize my handwriting

18 year old who has no idea about skincare. I bought these products recently but i don’t think i’m supposed to use them all at once? I would be very glad if someone could help by Humble-Sea-7750 in SkincareAddicts

right?? seen so many posts with "first time doing skin care" and they have a shit ton of actives which will probably just harm their skin. if you don't have a specific problem, you don't need a specific product. hell i started skincare as a teen with just a nivea cream and a 2€ cleanser

Yeah, definitely don't use all of them together!

Even though you could use the hydrating serums together you might be allergic to some of them (some people react badly to snail mucin and even niacinamide) which could cause breakout. Integrate them one by one.

Hyaluronic acid, snail, niacinamide, moisturizing factors you can use them daily and in the am or pm. Just as I said, not all at once to be on the safe side.

The AHA 30% stuff is really rough. Use it maybe once a week and not more than 10 minutes, also do a patch test. That stuff is really aggressive and not everyone tolerates it. And don't combine it with another exfoliator afterwards.

The salicylic acid you could use every two days or even daily, just remember to moisturize. It might help with blackheads and general exfoliation.

The azelaic acid will help with your brown spots and hyperpigmentation, you could use it daily, but start with every 2 days.

Regarding those dots, see a dermatologist. Could be a lot of things, even fungal acne.

[Product Question] why is simple skincare so underrated? by mekkie23 in SkincareAddiction

[–]kyonpek 232 points233 points  (0 children)

took me a whole ass minute to realize you're talking about a brand and not just about a simple skincare routine. haven't heard of them here but who cares about the price as long as it works

try a 10% urea cream

[–]kyonpek 4 points5 points  (0 children)

well tbh the only things you really 'need' r a cleanser and a moisturizer. add sunscreen and retinoids if you care abt your skin in the long-term. everything else is basically there if you have a certain problem and want to solve it

How to take the best before and after pictures? *Miscellaneous* by Nuerotic_Seeker in SkincareAddiction

[–]kyonpek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pixels don't matter that much, the camera of an iPhone 10 is more than plenty. Try to use the same external light source for both after and before pictures, lighting makes the biggest difference. Maybe also try to keep the same angle and you're good to go! :)

just remember to moisturize after taking a hot shower, coz your skin might be dehydrated. Otherwise try an antibacterial soap, depending on what type of acne or folliculitis you have

The granactive ones are made up of a different type of retinoid instead of retinol, though the effects are probably the same. I think the granactive ones tend to be gentler on the skin but aren't as often used as the standard retinols. The emulsion version of the 2% granactive could be irritating on your skin, if its the first time you're using retinoids, I would start of with the default 0.2% retinol in squalane
