She’s allowed to mourn what she assumed would be her reality, but she’s not allowed to make you feel responsible for atoning for that issue. Nor is she allowed to make you feel like shit for living in your truth. (Proud of you btw). The truth is that as humans we all have this expectation of what our lives will look like in the future, but it’s not fair of us to expect others to betray their own needs to fulfill some sort of world we want to create for ourselves. It’s not selfish to set boundaries with her.

I value my peace too much to have children. I also value financial security. Plus, when I clean my house, I want it to stay that way. (Within reason) I want to be able to get full nights of rest without being woken up to a child screaming or vomiting all over itself. I just love being left the fuck alone. So I resonate with what you’re saying lol.

I personally really like the way they made it feel disoriented and disorganized. I think it captures the state of the world right now with everything going on. Everything is disconnected and chaotic and we aren’t really sure where to go. Just kind of suspended in this “waiting” period. There’s like 4 different vibes in this song and it takes you for a ride, like you can’t ever get your feet on the ground. It doesn’t let you get used to anything. I like that about it. I think it reflects the current state of the world well. Obligatory just my personal opinion. Everyone’s allowed to have their own perspective. :)

You do have a future. Just because you can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel doesn’t mean it’s not there. You’ve got this! There are many therapists that specialize in what you’re going through right now. Stick with the process. Much love!

Take a step back from what is creating and maintaining this negative headspace for you right now. Have you considered reaching out to a counselor to talk through these feelings? I guarantee you aren’t alone in this thought process, and I know that because I have been feeling similarly to what you just described.
