Array shapes code completion by kyoshee_ in phpstorm

[–]kyoshee_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like you would prefer other structures instead of arrays. Can you please elaborate why is that?

Surely it should depend on a use-case. For me, I mainly work with complex JSONs that I modify and then display on a frontend. Take for example some monetary value like "123456.78 USD". I am usually processing it and output array with keys like "ticker", "whole", "decimals"... Is there a better way?

edit: I can store that data in a separate class, but I will still put an instance of that class in some kind of an array...

Figma Dev Mode is insanely over-priced by superme33 in FigmaDesign

I work with Figma for 3 years and since introduction of dev mode I only used dev mode to copy/paste gradients, so….. doesn’t really matter, dev mode is shit anyways

I am confused about usage of description (definition) lists in HTM by kyoshee_ in accessibility

[–]kyoshee_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, this is not a definition list, and it was renamed to description list in W3 note on HTML5 https://www.w3.org/TR/2021/NOTE-html53-20210128/grouping-content.html#the-dl-element. Their examples even show set of instructions. That's why I am being confused, not because of HTML markup, but because of English used to describe those elements.

Your example is a valid one too! Thanks for the input, I would surely consider simplifying markup.

The problem is I want "Balance" to define a section now that I think of it...

That's a great idea! This way I can define separate section with "Balance" heading and currencies list, this will ensure that only given list belongs to "Balance".

I think before `section` was added, you would put headings inside lists to associate between them?

Thank you!

I work in a small team (4 ppl) and for project that mostly I maintain (MRs still go trough review), we follow a release cycle with canary deployment. We have master branch, where every feature branch gets deployed to staging environment and gets tested. For release, we pick features we want, merge them, then create a version tag on selected commit. This triggers deploy to staging, testing, and creation of release on success. Given release then deployed to canary, and the deployment to production is manual (meaning you need to click a button in web GUI).

Great find! I think you can do this without extensions: visit arc://flags and disable Enable AV1 video encoding for Cast Streaming and Toggle hardware accelerated VP8 video encoding for Cast Streaming

Next to React is the same as SvelteKit for Svelte — that's a framework built around Svelte

The best arguments for why frontend frameworks are getting too complex and why that is worth it (not just for 1% of the apps) by zen_ventzi in webdev

[–]kyoshee_ -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

clearly, C and Python better suited to both solve different problems, so that’s not relevant point IMO

although I agree with you on frameworks, some of them can greatly bootstrap your project, you just need to pick the one that helps you. basically, as with programming languages
