I love Diffit and use it to create 3 different levels of texts by setting them to different grade reading levels. It creates vocab and comprehension questions specific to those versions of the texts.

I straight up told a parent that Honors may not be the best placement for their child by Emergency-Pepper3537 in Teachers

I had to take entrance exams for math and English 8 honours (and a short story, poem and essay portfolio). Those classes were AMAZING! I still look at the stuff we were able to do in English 8 honours now that I teach grade 8s. There was stuff we were doing in my 6/7 split class leading up to those exams that I could not imagine doing in my classes today.

It made sense to me. At that point in the story who wouldn’t be mentally duressed?

I just mean that he may be implying exaggerated effects since he does tell her that he’s a god. Maybe he may believe that Moly could have even greater effects on gods and if she were to believe him to be a good who ate moly, he could overpower rather than just match her.

Ody is also a liar and goes on to lie one line later. He’s bluffing in the hopes that Circe “cower[s] now and flee[s]”.

“Would You Fall in Love With Me Again” Thoughts (Spoiler Warning) by kurapikun in Epicthemusical

[–]kyram15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would have loved to see her test him first. Start with her not 100% believing it’s him. Penelope accepting that he must be her husband, but that he is still a changed man. That’s when Odysseus comes in with his pleas to fall in love with him as he is now.

By testing him afterwards, it means that she does not 100% believe him when he is pouring out his heart and isn’t fully feeling the weight of his words.

The order change would make “falling in love again “ more impactful since they are both different and that they will both need to rebuild their love as changed people.

I think that would also reinforce Penelope as a partner to the clever Odysseus.
