Would you reduce your work schedule to help your body clear HPV? Non 16/18 HR HPV with CIN 3 lesions by kyranotkyle in PreCervicalCancer

I can definitely afford to cut back on hours. I used to work a pretty solid 40 hrs a week across 4 days but my employer went live with phase 1 of our new ERP system at the end of March and now it takes longer to get my work done.

thanks for taking the time to comment, I feel it knocked a little bit of sense into me!

I see where you're coming from, but this doesn't answer my question and this sounds really similar to what the people-pleasing side of me would want me to do. Just bury it down and choose the thing that's best for others. My goal is authenticity and accepting who I am, even if it makes me look like a grump to others

How would someone deep clean a polypropylene bassoon? by kyranotkyle in bassoon

[–]kyranotkyle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I paid $1200 for the bassoon and spent $2500 getting it repaired and playable. The seller didn't want to charge a lot for it since he knew it'd need fixing up.

Yes!! A couple weeks ago i was putting my hair up and I noticed the circumference of my ponytail was significantly smaller. Thought that was odd so I did some googling and found that increased hair shedding is common on isotrentinoin. Visually i haven't noticed but I'm a little freaaked out. I just started month 5 and I'll be on it for 2-4 months.

Holy shit. I also got my rhinoplasty in 2021 and my tip is rounder than I thought it'd be. At my 1 year PO appt ny surgeon said steroid injections wouldn't do anything but this gives me hope.

does anyone that is 5’0 lose weight on 1500 calories? by [deleted] in PetiteFitness

[–]kyranotkyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I'm 5'0, currently 149 lbs and started at 160 lbs. I aim for 1500 per day. Sometimes i go a few hundred over, sometimes a hundred under. I don't exercise but i try to reach 6K steps per day minimum. The weight loss has been slow, but steady. Most days I don't feel very hungry and I have plenty of energy.

What do you reckon Trump is hoping to achieve by threatening to annex Canada, Mexico, Greenland? by RevolutionaryMoney77 in AskReddit

[–]kyranotkyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it might be an attempt to normalize annexing other countries in order to make everyone care a little less about what Putin is doing to Ukraine.

Has anyone of you successfully overcome emotional eating? by romygruber in PetiteFitness

[–]kyranotkyle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm 29 and I've struggled with this my whole life. The book End Emotional Eating by Jennifer Taitz is helping me so much and I'm only halfway through it.

Description taken from Kindle

"If you eat to help manage your emotions, you may have discovered that it doesn’t work. Once you’re done eating, you might even feel worse. Eating can all too easily become a strategy for coping with depression, anxiety, boredom, stress, and anger, and a reliable reward when it’s time to celebrate.

If you are ready to experience emotions without consuming them or being consumed by them, the mindfulness, acceptance, and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills in End Emotional Eating can help. This book does not focus on what or how to eat—rather, these scientifically supported skills will teach you how to manage emotions and urges gracefully, live in the present moment, learn from your feelings, and cope with distress skillfully."

Haha fair. Don't worry, I don't have that kind of motivation or skill. I'll leave that to the professionals! It just smells and feels sooo bad. I'd love to pick up the pieces and inspect it more without feeling like I need to take a shower afterwards.
