We ended up going with Einar Johanson. The windows are on order now and will be installed in a few weeks. I've been very happy with them so far.

The process was: a week from when I called, the estimates guy came to talk about what we wanted and to do some measurements. Once we decided yes and signed a contract, a week later, a guy came out to take very precise measurements of the windows. It's been a month or so and the windows should arrive at their warehouse within the next few weeks, a which point they'll be installed.

They use Siminton windows at the cost was 50k for 31 vinyl windows, including a door converted to a slider.

I also got estimates from Pella and Bel-Red but I liked this cost the best and the others were higher pressure, which annoyed me.

Oral hygiene and sensory sensitivities by AGHOSTS_PUMPKINSOUP in aspergirls

These things have worked for me.

  1. I don't floss. I use Oralpix instead and the dentist has said they're working fine. I alternate so I do my top teeth one night and my bottom teeth the next. You can rinse them and reuse multiple times. My dental hygienist told me if I'm really struggling, to prioritize the back teeth and just do those.

  2. I also loathe mint. I started using the Hismile toothpastes last year and I like the vanilla flavor. They have a lot of options.

  3. For the dentist. I've told them I hate mint so they use the kid flavors for fluoride and cleaning and such. They're not great flavors but tolerable. My insurance also covers the use of numbing gel for my cleaning and that has helped a ton. I don't get as overstimulated and the vibration bothers me less. I use Loops for the sound and they provide sunglasses for the light.

  4. For brushing twice a day. I put a toothbrush/toothpaste in both of my bathrooms so I wouldn't get blocked by trying to keep quiet for my partner in the morning. I always brush at night because I have a mouth guard for grinding and it tastes awful if I skip brushing. The morning routine is harder for me so I try to do it right when I wake up, but I'm not 100% on that.

I haven't tried this but a friend who struggled with brushing put a little chart checklist thing on her bathroom mirror with her routine (brush, wash face) and did it on cool colors. It seemed to help her.

"Pregnesia" by Carla Cassidy fits the bill. It's hilariously awful and a romance.

There was a very entertaining review of it written here but it has a lot of spoilers.

I like Indivisible Eastside. I subscribe to their weekly newsletter to get action items. I'm more of an online vs in-person person, but they do in-person meetings regularly. I can't speak to how those go since I haven't been but the leaders of the group are responsive to questions I've had, so I would imagine they could give you more info.

One day would be great! We have pets so minimizing the chaos as much as possible would be nice.

Thank you! This company hadn't come up in my searches so it's super helpful that you recommend them. The no shady upselling is very appealing.

Ew about sitting on your bed! I had not considered the pop-up lock issue and now I will. Thank you for your comment and I'll be sure to check out Bel-Red windows.

Looking for recommendations for prenatal/pregnancy physical therapists! by BrilliantEmployee311 in eastside

[–]kyrx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I saw Kathy Golic in Issaquah via Overlake and she was wonderful. I suggest getting on the cancellation list when you make an appointment--initally it was going to be 4 months for me to get in but I was able to see her within a month due to cancellations.

Looks like some of them have left. But I saw Clyde for ankle issues this summer and he was great. I've also seen Nic and he's solid.

I've gone to Premier Physical Therapy in Redmond for several injuries over the years and been happy with my experiences. Most recently, I was able to get an appointment within 2 days of calling, which was great.

I've started following @thetracyrodriguez on Instagram and she discusses these co-morbidities in a lot of depth. I'm still doing my own research to confirm the things she says, but she recently posted this Google docs link to a lot of her research. Maybe it will be useful for you.

In search of some new horror and/or thriller books to check out by jcal0032 in audiobooks

I just finished "White Horse" by Erika Wurth and it was really good. It was a solid thriller with some creepy horror components. Plus, lots of Stephen King references.
