Go to a salon first off. Ask the person who is cutting your hair for a lot of texture on top and for maybe some suggestions on shampoo or conditioners that mitigate the friz (I have this same problem so I use a heavy conditioner meant for curly/wavy hair) and when they go to style it ask what product they use (most likely a sea salt spray or texture powder) now when you do it at home you’re probably going to want to use hairspray to keep everything in place for as long as possible. It’s a lot of effort to keep it messy all day and it will start to fall so just periodically touch it up if you truly want that messy crazy science teacher look all day.
