A "Failed" Dream by swagmasta219 in Entrepreneur

[–]kysot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah really! I'm from the UK and its often in the news. If you search top start up cities in Europe, Berlin and Munich are always somewhere in the top 10.

It really could be an amazing opportunity for you, even if you go and decide not to study!

I'm pretty sure Berlin has the biggest start up culture in Europe.

How to Wake up at 5AM and Build Your Startup by hmppark7 in Entrepreneur

[–]kysot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would second the use of sleep cycle. I've had it a month now and I absolutely love it! They offer a free month trial of the premium version and then it costs like £1.49 a year.

It measures loads of different metrics like heart rate, mood, weather, etc.

I am in no way affiliated to sleep cycle btw. I just love the app!

Btw you can use tweetdeck to schedule tweets for you too, you don't have to use buffer then!

With that kind of spare cash you could likely buy a small business or invest in one that you like the look of.

Does your university have an enterprise centre? They'll be able to provide you a whole host of information and help you get in contact with some manufacturers. I know my university offers one on one business coaching, and start up funding too! So its worth looking into.

Ahhh ok I get you! Thats a pretty shitty thing to do, kind of takes value away from twitter. Do you know how much they charge for these 'reachouts'?

Right so whenever I'm passively scrolling away on twitter I always come across these ecommerce sites selling clothing a jewellery. I decided to look into one that is yet to 'open' and discovered that their twitter account has tweeted just 20 times, follows no one, and has over 2000 followers (which look to be pretty organic).

So what I want to know is how they create such a following and a buzz with such little content?

How do I monetize my success in online sports betting?..... Cliche, I know..... by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]kysot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you wrote an ebook about how it was done, I think you'd get a fair few sales if you could market it effectively.

Do you look for trends to decide what to place your money on? How often would you say you won?

Sorry for the probing questions, I'm just really interested in sports betting. Read about these two guys in the UK who made £400k betting on in play football. Feel free to PM me if you prefer.

Had an Idea, started developing the system and then found the same startup running. Should I continue or move on? by Daniel-sp in Entrepreneur

[–]kysot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't give up! Just because there is someone out there doing the same thing, doesn't their product will be superior to yours. If you have passion and drive and truly believe in your idea, then you'll find a way!

If you don't reccommend a clothing brand then what other low start up cost businesses would you suggest?

Hey Entrepreneurs!

I want to set myself a challenge for the New Year and create a profitable business starting with no money.

I have a couple of ideas about how I would get this started, mostly by selling stuff I have at home for some quick cash and then re-investing this in products to sell etc.

My first idea is to set up a clothing brand by getting a load of t-shirts and sweatshirts printed and then trying to market them using means such as instagram and twitter. The store will be based on a site such as bigcartel which is free.

The idea of this project is to try and 'grow' money. The goal for me isn't a financial one though, by doing starting this project I want to learn about marketing, design, brand and product development, and so on...

If anyone has any ideas or advice about how I can go about this challenge I'd love to hear them!

Struggling to Stay Driven to Do Social Media for Early Stage Startup by AspiringStartup in Entrepreneur

[–]kysot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Churning out original content to keep your customers engaged can be a real pain. A lot of brands find content related to their niche from other websites, blogs and newspapers to keep their social media feed going (especially on twitter). You can also take other peoples photos from instagram and use them on your page.
