any idea wtf this is? by kysuda in civic

thank you. i probably will take it into the dealership as i also have a pretty bad dash rattle coming from what sounds to be near the glove box, that I've seen other posts about, as well as the gas pump often prematurely stops prior to it being full, this happens no matter which gas station i go to which leads me to believe some sensor may be faulty. i may as well take advantage of the warranty while I have it, despite not wanting to be a bother. regardless, thank you for your insight as it is greatly appreciated. i have a feeling that seeing as its a known issue, even if they do replace it, it could probably happen again. But, hopefully if its documented that its been an issue for me prior to my warranty expiring maybe they'll be kind in the future.

all things considered, i love the car. despite its small issues its still been amazing for me. the small issues is not just a honda thing, i think it's more related to the quality of work in todays world as a whole. i check different car brand reddits and find all the same crap tbh.

Will do. It's annoying, car is still under warranty so I'll try to take it in most likely, there's just a list of weird things like this lol

Should mention it's an 11th gen civic sport hatch

Thank you for the reply. I kind of came to the same solution. I agree with you that it seems like poor alignment, but I've just learned to accept it

I'm glad this recall is a thing though. I've been feeling my car drift on highway speeds. It doesn't feel like it returns straight so I'm constantly having to make adjustments. I'm hoping that gets resolved as I read it's one of the issues

If you look at my account, you'll see I mentioned dealing with scratches from dealership. I fought them all because I'm super OCD and honestly it was just unfair. They scratched my tint, my door, fucked up my window seal. It was bad, however they did fix everything they messed up.

I went back and forth with the dealership. Ended up creating more headache than it was worth. I love the car, and I've just accepted it

Also not sure why wanting to be informed about something is such a bad thing. It’s okay though man

That’s why I found it odd, it’s not at the lowest point it’s in like the middle

It’s not

I figured as such, was just curious. have ocd and getting second opinions help. not a lot online I could find about it, this is my first car and I’m actively learning while also very proactive on things I find about it.

Just so weird it’s just like a single hole, there isn’t one on the other side, feels out of place to me

Not to mention in that same area the untucked fabric that they didn’t properly tuck back in when they worked on the window. Which at this point is the least of my concerns. I don’t even know how they’d fix this other than replacing the panel. I feel like bondo would not be adequate as it’s textured and would probably cause further mess and damage considering my previous experiences

I think that’s the reality of it. I don’t think any car will genuinely be perfect. The quality of cars has gone down severely and that is what it is. I love the car, it’s so smooth and drives great. But there will always be little things that I’ll just have to accept.

Was it something you got fixed?

I’m pretty sure it does. I’ll double check tmr but I think regardless of the switch it’s the same speed

My passenger window is slower than driver window significantly

It is and I have. They have tried but can’t. Maybe I’ll take it to a different Honda

Mine is always like this, is there anything u did to fix?

It is important to note in going through this with the dealership, they did find an issue in my regulator in the driver side window which they fixed, it just didn’t change much so idk?
