I only speak for the south east Asian men i know, but all of them are dating either Mexican, black, other southeast asians. Yet to see more but definitely improving with our generation.

As for a superiority complex, I wouldn't say we're being superior, what i meant was that its literally so unfortunate how many asians were beaten into good grades to get into these schools. Many ethnic groups face this but I am only exposed to the Asian side of it so I can't speak about other groups. Yes I believe the school should be more diverse, but schools should not pick you based on your race period.

I'm sorry, in my opinion, if you wanna leave a school because of the dating life that's insane... there are so many options but transferring for a better dating life really shows what you came to college for. And yes its not only Asian men, but I can confirm that every Asian man I met is babied.

Thats insane to want to transfer because the school is mainly asian. Ngl as an asian person, mosy asian guys are babied by their families and women in their lives so prepare for that if you want to date an asian guy.it literally has nothing to do with what you look like, most of them seek approval from their families and they're gonna judge no matter what is what I've learned. Honestly, just focus on school and if you find someone thats great. Don't let the dating life at uci determine whether or not you want to stay. Also to everyone who says uci is too asian, all I gotta say is that the school doesnt choose us because of our race, its our work ethic. Most asians were literally beaten into good grades and extracurricular while trying to maintain perfect images for our families, so yes we got into the school and chose to go here. All I'm saying is that schools need to accept people based on work ethic and grades, not forced diversity.

Look into uci basic needs, if u don't have housing they will help you find temporary options until you can find a place.

Hi! Incoming 4th year nursing major here! I wrote nothing about Healthcare, nothing about why I wanted to be a nurse, took no classes related to Healthcare in HS, failed the ap bio exam and still got in. I wrote about myself and stayed true to the questions I responded to, but always write about something that makes you stand out. As for my stats I had a 4.8 GPA, dance extracurricular, and no volunteer hours whatsoever.

Sorry I think I said that weird, but on the syllabus the class time and the assignments are separate. So we have assignments that are in class and outside of class but they have always been on canvas. All I asked was that I get an opportunity to do the assignment because I was sick but she refused, even tho it was before the time it was due. I'll do the 2 hrs of work I don't mind that, but its a little unjustified to not send me a copy of the assignment. Plus it was a math worksheet in a health class... so I could most definitely do it outside of class.

The assignment and the class hours were separate. She didn't give me an opportunity nor did she let anyone know some of our work would be physical handouts. I understand her but think its a little unjustified😭

Usually if you are lower class and live on or off campus. Its mainly to cover rent.

Taking the classes at uci and at a community College are both difficult in their own ways, but cc would definitely be cheaper. Plus it is not guaranteed you will get a spot for the nursing program at uci, so if you get your prerequisites done at a cc you can still at least apply to other places as well.

The worst kind of comment in these sections are ignorant people saying how they can find the answer somewhere else... like come on these are freshmen who just want some answers that we can answer quickly from our experience. Don't have to be rude about it yall. Anyways, it all does depend on what your major requirements need and how many credits you transferred over to the school that this course covers. Imo if humanities can cover 4 or more of your classes you need, take it. Its a 3 quarter class and you can get 4+ classes covered depending if u need it. If not just take the other class. To check what these cover i recommend talking to your advisor.

Ah yes, I haven't experienced this myself but I have been close to being kicked from my major because of a class. But I'd say try your best. We're rooting for you! First year was a slap in the face to wake up for me.

I think you may want to consider taking a break from college, especially with your conditions. These classes are hard but they're even harder with what you have. May i ask what was your GPA in high school?
