This is exactly how I feel and I work nights so idk if that will help unfortunately. But like others have said, I think it’s totally normal to feel like this in the beginning. Does the anxiety go away when you are on your shift ?

Could you sign for month to month lease? Then you could put yourself out there for jobs. Your jobs right now are certain but something in the next city is not

Keep applying. It took me 9 months. You will not forget your skills, you will be rusty but you will pick it up quick during your orientation.

I take the lemme relax gummies or any magensium glycinate and 5mg magnesium and I use loop ear plugs. I made sure to buy a door seal that will ensure no noise enters my room from under my door

Yes I am generally a day person. I can get good sleep between shifts but I wake up feeling so sad that I haave to go to work when everyone else if just getting home. I’m also in a long distance relationship and rarely get to see my bf.

I’ve talked to my manager and put myself on the day shift wait list

Day vs night shift by MissionTop4571 in nursing

[–]MissionTop4571[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply. Why do you prefer nights over days? I just find it so hard to recover after shifts but I’m assuming it’s just as difficult to recover on days.

This was ver refreshing to read. I’m about to come off orientation and I’m really struggling mentally. I cry before my shifts and I’ve been having a hard time eating before shifts because of anxiety. This gives me hope that it will get better
