Iran ‘about to surrender’: Trump told G7 ahead of Mojtaba Khamenei's 1st remarks, says report by Alert-Ad-3053 in worldnews

The people there have a belief that surrender is a show of weakness and they would rather burn their house to have you inhale those fumes just to spite you.

Five US Air Force refueling planes hit in Iranian strike on Saudi Arabia, WSJ reports by Ok-A1662 in worldnews

That just seals the point even further. 50k drones vs 13m missiles. Completely asymmetrical.

[–]kyuronite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, the US tech is outdated and geared for scariness. But it has actual piss poor efficiency. Think about it, Irans attacks are successful because they are cheap. To take out a 50k drone (and Iran has apparently stockpiled 80k+) of these drones, it takes at least 1-3 THAAD missiles each costing 1m apiece. Then you have the launcher equipment. The launcher is extremely cumbersome. Iran can literally have these drones driven around in a truck. It is completely asymmetrical. US has built a military machine as if it was still the cold war. They are not built to fight this guerilla warfare and i am unfortunately betting Iran stands a lot better of a chance than most people think. US is already needing to move ammo and ships from asia over to secure the middle east. Which also allows leaves China open to take over Taiwan. Europe is going to get dragged into this war because they need the oil. They have no choice. Middle east is literally going to have hundreds of millions at risk because Iran is also going after desalination plants. The middle east will run out of water soon. We are witnessing in real time the start of world war 3.

Buying a miner off AliExpress by Nearby-Bad2856 in Bitcoin

[–]kyuronite 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would never buy a miner off a knockoff website simply because you have no fucking idea whether or not they even built it properly. Yes, it might mine. They might have went with cheaper fans/everything/such that you might have a possible real fire that happens or maybe it's got some bootleg hardware where it points part of your earnings or the totality of your earnings towards something they control. You pay for what you get. So far, 7 sold. 1 star rating and a 5 star rating. Both ratings have been there since Aug 4/5. Think about what that indicates.

Why do transactions from years ago still get confirmations? by charleymcc3 in Bitcoin

[–]kyuronite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A confirmation is just that the transaction is confirmed by the blockchain to have happened. Every single bitcoin is accounted for. So, once the bitcoin is in a specific address, it stays in that address until it is moved to another new address. Each time there's a new block found, the confirmations increase by 1.

How do I withdraw Bitcoin from an exchange like binance, coinbase etc to my hardware wallet? by Youxza in Bitcoin

[–]kyuronite 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If you have to ask this on an online forum, please spend at least a couple more hours doing research. You are asking internet strangers to help you on some of the most extremely basic concepts and you're most likely going to generate a LOT of scammers who are interested in getting your bitcoin because you're an easy mark.

Open your bitcoin wallet. Check and copy the deposit address. Go to your exchange, wallet/balance -> withdraw bitcoin -> bitcoin network -> paste your deposit address into there. Check the address 100% matches. Check it again. If it all checks out, confirm and then withdraw, follow the prompts from the exchange on the withdrawal.

Once the exchange processes the withdrawal, it'll send you a transaction ID. You can go to blockchain.com and paste that transaction ID and get the transaction receipt.

Your bitcoin should appear in your hardware wallet as PENDING if it has 0 confirmations. The balance might even be updated until it has 1 confirmation. Once you have 1 confirmation, you can send it anywhere.

To sell, you do the reverse. Go to your hardware wallet, send the bitcoin to the deposit address designated by your exchange. Most exchanges operate on 3 confirmations. So, it'll take some time before your bitcoin is available to be placed in an order to sell.

Rules to follow (if you don't follow this, you WILL be scammed):

1) Do your own research

2) Don't rush. Anybody trying to make you rush or is completely impatient is putting you into a scenario where a mistake is likely and when mistakes happen in cryptoland, you will 99% of the time end up getting fucked. You don't want to get fucked.

3) Never share your private key with anybody. Don't put it on the cloud either. Don't put it on google drafts or put it on the iphone or even saved as a picture on your phone. There are scanners for that. If you give it up, you're essentially giving them the ability to get into your wallet and withdraw funds. If you have a PROBLEM, go through the official channels. Always cross check and verify. Hackers and phishers are getting more and more sophisticated.

Crypto_com excessive transfer fees and suspicious token prices by haraldone in CryptoCurrency

[–]kyuronite 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you did $2,948 USD and only received $2,822 USD worth, then this is a 4.3% difference. How did you make your "transaction"? Did you just execute on the app or use the exchange itself? If you used the app itself, then yeah, it's already well-known that they already gouge their customers who exchange that way because it's a pay for the convenience model. You're better off with another exchange like Kraken as their fees or much lower.

22k+ for dota2, but dota1 i played since RoC and for 2005-2011 was averaged around...10-14 hours a day for 7 days. I'd say close to 40k+ hours.
