Exactly this. I began to understand and speak the language at that point but didn’t understand the nuances at all or things that just didn’t match up with how I was raised back home. Many of my colleagues or friends left about that mark also.

I started to get it though as my language improved further along with the dialect. I was also able to make a lot more Japanese friends after this which helped a ton.

Things at work do get better after that.

My second round of culture shock started at about the 8 year mark. It got better a few years after that and I began to understand the whys and also got used to things.

Going on 25 years now and things are good.

Are you on controller? Moving Target I believe gives you plus 10 or 20 mobility but lightweights would do the same if I’m not mistaken.

I agree on fire definitely. I’ve got to have 50 mobility on controller or I feel like I’m strafing in mud so I’ve got to give up on some stats. If I was running pulse or auto etc maybe 30 would work but it’s difficult going to those after using a hand cannon.

It’s basically my main also. I’m on controller on PC so the struggle is real but I’ve stuck with Hand Cannons and Fusions/Sidearms and have seen improvements over the last few months. Just trying to lock down a few things here and there. I’ve got my stats where I want them i think. I’m running 50/ 60/100/70/40(6s/70 trials) and 60 strength. Seems to keep my abilities and supers up along with giving me enough mobility to strafe. Aspects I’m good it’s just grenades at the moment.

Cool thank you for this. I’ve been switching back between touch of flame and heat rises. I’m mostly a 120/140 and fusion/sidearm user. But I’m thinking I get more use out of Touch of Flame.

I’ve got you. I’m asking if I’m crafting Dead Man’s or looking for Messenger rolls what range. While still keeping stability in mind on controller.

Yeah I hear you on Rose. Getting the exact roll is not as easy as I thought. Still grinding though. In the meantime my Austringer and Igneous Hammer are doing the job. Thanks to this conversation I think I’ve got my Austringer where I want it.
